The Mystery Surrounding Rip Hunter Is Revealed In New LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Synopsis
The CW has released the first synopsis for "Raiders of the Lost Art," the episode which will see George Lucas enter the DC TV Universe! However, the biggest reveal here relates to the return of Rip Hunter...
For a while now, we've been wondering where Rip Hunter vanished to, and the midseason finale finally revealed that he's in 1967 directing a movie about...Rip Hunter?! Well, the first synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow's upcoming premiere reveals that the former leader of the team has actually lost his memory due to a "time drift," and it doesn't sound like those are going to be too easy to get back.
Regardless of his past, Rip has become a target of the Legion of Doom, and that's enough to cause an awful lot of problems for the Legends! For more on what to expect, here's the official synopsis:
LOST MEMORIES — When Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) try to capture Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) in 1967, they create an Aberration big enough to draw the attention of the Legends. However, when the team arrives they discover that Rip has no memories of his past due to “time drift” and is just a graduate film student. After trying to convince Rip of who he was, they discover that he possesses an incredibly powerful artifact known as the Spear of Destiny, which the Legion of Doom is after. Ray (Bradon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano) realize that the Aberration has also affected them personally making it difficult to help the team. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) asks Stein (Victor Garber) for help and makes him promise to keep it a secret from the team. Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Chris Fedak.
When Legends of Tomorrow returns, it will be on Tuesday nights from January 24th onwards. Bear in mind that this episode will also feature the small screen debut of George Lucas, albeit a much younger version played by Matt Angel. What are you guys most excited to see from "Legends of the Lost Art"?
