ARROW's Kevin Alejandro Joins The Cast Of LUCIFER As A Series Regular
Lucifer is not set to air until early next year, with FOX pushing the comic book procedural's premiere back to mid-season. They're bringing in former Arrow star Kevin Alejandro in a series regular capacity
Kevin Alejandro (of Arrow and Golden Boy fame) has joined the cast of FOX's comic book drama/procedural, Lucifer. According to Deadline, he joins the show in a series regular capacity, and will play the role of 'Dan', a gruff LAPD homicide detective, who is resentful towards Lucifer's connection with his wife and daughter. He replaces Nicholas Gonzalez, who originally portrayed the character in the show's pilot episode (directed by Underworld's Len Wiseman).
Alejandro should be familiar to DC TV fans, having portrayed 'Sebastian Blood' on Arrow's Season 2. A recurring star on The CW show, he looks set to play a much more integral role in Lucifer - possibly as a rival to 'Lucifer Morningstar', the show's morally questionable lead character. He joins a cast that includes Lauren German, Lesley Ann-Brandt & Tom Ellis as the Lord of Hell himself.
Lucifer will premiere mid-season on FOX, in early 2016. What do you think of Alejandro's casting? Are you excited to see another DC show on primetime television, or would you rather see a more faithful adaptation of the character? Sound off in the comments below!
