GAME OF THRONES: Daenerys Gets A New Throne While Sansa Questions Her Allegiances In New Season 7 Stills

HBO has released two more images from Game of Thrones season seven that should make the wait for July 16th even more excruciating. One spotlights Daenerys Targaryen while the other features Sansa Stark.

As the Fourth of July festivities get underway, HBO, via their Making of Game of Thrones blog, has released two new promotional stills from the upcoming seventh season of their hit fantasy drama series.

Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen stands tall in the first image, which sees her approaching a very unique-looking throne in Dragonstone. The second image takes us back to what looks like Winterfell as Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark gives Aidan Gillen's Littlefinger a very dubious look.

Also, on another note, at last weekend's Con of Thrones, series sound designer Paula Fairfield revealed, via Vanity Fair, that the Season 7 finale will run 82 minutes and hinted that each episode in Season 8 might be feature length, which is very exciting news.

Check out both photos below:

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.'

An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

A Game? Of Thrones? Never heard of it.

Not sure why Sansa needs to be more conniving than she was in Season 6. Jon never wanted the Iron Throne, to be King of the North nor did he want to be Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. He is just a simple guy driven to prove his honor and find his place in a cruel world.

(Have fun with that comment)

Sansa survives to season 8. She slipped up earlier in the year in an interview. I dont see any more Starks dying until season 8.

Even though all roads point towards Little Finger dying this season, it would be a shame if he was killed off. He was one of the most complex characters on the show that still holds power and influence. Would be nice to see his plan to get the Iron Throne come close to some kind of fruition instead of being stopped well short of its intended mark.

Most of you will be pretty shocked when it comes out that Arthur Dayne is Jons father and that the sword Dawn is Lightbringer.

whoops ;)

I swear, if Sansa pulls some BS on Jon and turns on him, I will flip a table.
