"Game of Thrones Season 3 is based on A Storm of Swords, the third novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series from author George R.R. Martin. Due to the sheer length of the third novel, which is roughly 1.5 times the size of the first novel, the events of A Stomr of Swords will be split over two seasons. The cruel reign of the boy-king Joffrey Baratheon continues thanks to an alliance with House Tyrell. King of the North Robb Stark must decide whether to remain in the field against the Lannisters or return to Winterfell and address the actions of a traitor. Bran Stark journeys across a frozen wasteland to reach The Wall and what lies beyond. Daenerys Targaryen searches for an army to take back her homeland. Jon Snow must navigated dangerous waters filled with White Walkers and the bloodthirsty wildlings of the King-Beyond-the-Wall Mance Rayder."

Wasn't Robb Stark a minor character in the books?

Thing is though, from what I have read, it was EVEN MORE brutal in the books. Turns out Catelyn Stark started laughing insanely after Robb was killed and she was literally tearing the flesh off from her face with her fingernails for the horrified Freys to then slit her throat to end the suffering.

@MAC

He wasn't a minor character. He just didn't have POV chapters dedicated to him. A lot of the scenes of Robb and his wife was filler for the show.

Most things in the books were much more brutal than what they show on TV. During the Battle of Blackwater, Tyrion actually gets his whole nose cut off, rather than just the badass scar he gets in the show. Can't blame them for toning that part down though, they didn't want to mess with Dinklage's pretty face!

Why the [frick] should anyone give a [frick] about a mediocre, bland and scrawny girl (not even a woman I'd call her) turning out be a lesbian? WHY!!?

@ MAC, Yeah I'm pretty sure I saw a "Messaging" tab somewhere, I'm assuming that means we can chat with other users. I would like that too!

The Books are way more brutal. The show depicts the basic idea though.
Thumbs up for this page not Ellen Page.

Does the shampoo company really feel the need to run like a three minute commercial on a website for comic book movies? Really now?
