I'm still reeling from tonight's shocking episode. I say shocking but I've read the books so I knew what was coming but nevertheless, my heart was absolutely pounding. The Starks just don't have the luck....

"Joffrey challenges Tywin. Bran tells a ghost story. In Dragonstone, mercy comes from strange quarters. Dany waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator. ‘Mhysa’ is a word from the Low Valyrian language spoken in Slaver’s Bay, deriving from the older Ghiscari language, which means “Mother”. Episode 10 is the final episode of the third season of Game of Thrones. It is the thirtieth episode of the series overall."

The cruel reign of the boy-king Joffrey Baratheon continues thanks to an alliance with House Tyrell. King of the North Robb Stark must decide whether to remain in the field against the Lannisters or return to Winterfell and address the actions of a traitor. Bran Stark journeys across a frozen wasteland to reach The Wall and what lies beyond. Daenerys Targaryen searches for an army to take back her homeland. Jon Snow must navigated dangerous waters filled with White Walkers and the bloodthirsty wildlings of the King-Beyond-the-Wall Mance Rayder."

And why I am not surprised that an idiot had to mention IM3.

Their are still a lot of spoilers that we as readers of the books have the power to unveil but the greater responsibility to those who don't not to tell. I love the books but totally respect and in some ways envy those who haven't. Let's not ruin in for them as much as we want to tell what's in store further on. No
I will say it was an interesting choice to change the narrative of the books and have Rob bring his wife to the wedding and get killed. In the book she was left behind for her safety and still lives. For those of us who learned the fates of Rob and Cat long ago I don't know if it was harder or easier to actually watch the slaughter go down. In a way I almost hoped they would deviate from the book.....yeah right.

I'm sure they must combine books 4 and 5 when the time comes....they must.

Great episode! WOW! SUCH A GREAT SHOW. Cant wait for the finale.

oh... and i loved Spartacus...LOVED IT, but it is NOTHING compared to this show. That's like saying Castle is better than Breaking Bad or something silly like that

lol so many of you are gonna shit your pants when you realise how huge the show actually is.
the research in teh back history is well worth the maddenning interpretational nightmare.

Immortals, gods, a fictional story based around the core of mythology.

Its pretty much "the prestege" once who realise whats going on you have to go back and read/watch.
the second time is completely different once you understand whos who, and whats what.

Funny how many people say the Starks have no luck...it has nothing to do with luck or lack there of, as everything that happens to them is due to their sense of honor, duty and justice. Ned Stark did what he thought was right, giving Cersei the chance to leave with her children before he told Robert about the incest and lost his head for it. Robb apologized to Walder Frey practically begging for forgiveness, forced his uncle to marry one of the Frey girls and it cost him his life, along with his wife and mother. The Lannisters have none of those qualities yet they are ruling the 7 kingdoms and have been free of anything horrifically tragic. When you play the Game of Thrones, you either win or you die!

Yeah I read the book knew it was coming and was still floored by it! Them adding his wife in the proceedings added for an extra gut punch! And watching Arya witness Grey Wind's death even more gut wrenching!

wcwpoet - 6/3/2013, 6:16 AM
Yeah the Starks are only down because they truly believe in honor and duty. Spoiler Alert Don't worry the Lannisters won't be unscathed for long CAN'T WAIT for next season!

gaikinger , yes I have read that George Martin said season 5 and 6 will both the a combination of those 2 books because they happen simultaneously. HBO has already started rumbles that no seasons are guaranteed and that it is quite possible story will not be completed.

Next episode will make you all feel a little better. The books are amazing and worth the read. Better than the show by far.

The Starks are far from done and the insanity will continue. Nobody is safe, just remember that and you'll be fine.
