GAME OF THRONES Star Ciaran Hinds Will Play Steppenwolf In Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE

Warner Bros. has finally found an actor to play Steppenwolf in Zack Snyder's Justice League movie, and it will be Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and John Carter star Cairan Hinds...

Steppenwolf being the big bad of Justice League was met with something of a mixed response (especially from fans hoping to see the likes of Brainiac or Darkseid) but no matter which side you fall on, we now know that Game of Thrones and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance star Ciaran Hinds will play the character. According to The Wrap, he finished shooting the motion capture role fairly recently.

We caught a glimpse of Steppenwolf in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the trade adds that his appearance will have been upgraded by the time we see him in Justice League. A villain with close ties to Darkseid, it's thought that he'll be going after three Mother Boxes in the movie. Beyond that, very little is known about the sort of role the villain will end up playing here.

Do you think Hinds is a good choice for Steppenwolf? He certainly impressed in Game of Thrones, but he wasn't exactly too much fun to watch in movies like Hitman: Agent 47 and that Ghost Rider sequel.

Hinds is a great actor so this is very cool news. Hopefully he isn't totally CGI and he is more human looking like he is in the comics.

He was amazing as Caesar in Rome, but hasn't been terribly impressive outside of that. Wish he weren't all CGI. Seems totally unnecessary. Wasn't crazy about design in BvS.

This is probably the only time anyone will hope for this to be true unlike all of Eh Maybe's bullshit rumors.

Remember Ike Barinholtz is supposed to be Dr. Hugo Strange people, Adam Beach was supposed to be someone other than our lord and savior Slipknot, and Jim Parrack was Deathstroke.

Either way, this is great addition if true.

@Kr08 - Remember when Mamoa was confirmed Drax? When Chris Pine chose Green Lantern over Steve Trevor?

Interesting, He was really good in Munich. And he seems to be always cast in critically acclaimed films & shows, Which is always good gain for the DCEU. I can't wait for the first official trailer of JL, Because the comic con trailer was really more like a teaser.

Andre Braugher would be the perfect choice for Darkseid.
