Wow.

After a phenomenal episode, next week's hour looks to up the ante even further as Jon Snow leads his Magnificent Seven to Eastwatch to somehow capture a Wight, and then bring it to the Dragonpit to show everyone proof that the Army of the Dead is, in fact, very real.

We don't have a title, but check out the promo for episode six below:

Episode #66: "TBD"

Debut: SUNDAY, AUGUST 20 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Directed by Alan Taylor.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.'

An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Game of Thrones returns with an all-new episode August 20

@RorMachine - My theory has been the same since the filming of Season 7. The Night King will resurrect one of Dany's dragons. Without a dragon of his own his army will fall.

With a dragon he will level the playing field and if he has a dire wolf too he will have a formidable army.

did they just casually confirm that Jon is the HERO OF THE GALAXY with that annulment talk?

@ODanil the only thing this episode confirmed was that Jon is the son of Rhagar Targaryn and he's gonna [frick] his aunt's( denerious) brains out.

@TheRealMandarin - it confirmed Jon is a legitimized Targaryen, rather than a bastard. And it hinted very heavily at, at least, Daenerys having a 'crush' on Jon :P

Also, with Jon and Jorah north of the wall, Dany won't sit back and wait, I see some Dragon deus ex machina at the end of the next ep.

This season is like "The Avengers" as all of the important characters start teaming up. This is why you build things up first, so there's a pay-off in excitement to seeing characters come together.

@Chewtoy - Tell that to DC. They haven't gotten it yet.

@Chewtoy - I got a similar vibe, too. And even though this is season 7, and I loved seeing everyone together, it still seems a bit rushed. They really seem to be sprinting toward next season's finish line.

@BlanketMan - actors aren't getting any younger and are ready to move on. Plus with GRRM sitting on his ass, the showrunners don't really have any material left to adapt. All they know is the endgame and major events that will happen.

Okay some thoughts.

- So glad my boy Bronn made it, he has been one of the best players in the game through the whole series, he started as a sellsword and has risen to a knight with gold and a castle coming.

- Rhaeghar and Layanna were legally married making Jon an official targ and the true king.

- Still trying to decide if I'm okay with Danny and Jon hooking up part of me is like well they both get what they want and another part is like ew gross incest.

- Finally can little finger just [fricking] die already.
