HOUSE OF THE DRAGON: The Dance Of The Dragons Begins In The New Season Finale Trailer For "The Black Queen"

The Dance of the Dragons is finally here!

Following Alicent's (Olivia Cooke) bold decision to go against her late husband's true intentions by placing her own son Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) on the Iron Throne, the Targaryen Civil War has officially gotten underway, and it looks like next week's finale will see Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) respond with some big moves of her own.

There aren't any real spoilers in the new promo, outside of the promise of an explosive start to the power struggle between the Blacks and Greens. However, if you've read the book, you'll surely recognize some of the high-flying events it seems to be teasing for next week, and there seems to be an increasingly good chance that some heartbreak is on its way before the credits roll on episode ten.

Check out the new preview for the season one finale, titled "The Black Queen," below:

Season One features Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans, with Milly Alcock, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Emily Carey, Harry Collett, Ryan Corr, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Wil Johnson, John Macmillan, Graham McTavish, Ewan Mitchell, Theo Nate, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, Phia Saban, Gavin Spokes, and Savannah Steyn.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
