If you're anything like me, you can't wait for Season 2 to begin. No official date has been released but HBO has confirmed that the second season will begin airing sometime in April.

Game of Thrones is an American medieval fantasy television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Based on author George R. R. Martin's best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels, the first of which is called A Game of Thrones, the television series debuted in the U.S. on April 17, 2011. The production is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with additional locations elsewhere in Europe also being used. The show's cast is mainly British and Irish.

Highly-anticipated since its early stages of development, Game of Thrones was very well received by viewers and critics. The series was picked up for a second season on April 19, 2011, two days after its premiere. On July 14, 2011 the nominations for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, with Game of Thrones being nominated for 13 categories, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Peter Dinklage, which he won. The series also won an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design the weekend before, at the Academy's non-televised technical Emmy awards presentation.

Ok was that Jaime being captured by the Brave Companions? If so then they are definitely speeding things along. I think we also got our first glimpse at the "Damphair" talking to Theon.

I'd say that was him being captured by Robb.

If Jamie appears in any large amount during the second season they are speeding things up. He barely appeared in Clash of Kings. Also the dialog from the last episode of GOT between Catelyn and Jamie took alot from a scene at the end of Clash of Kings.

O.K. Thank you for this post! After seeing this and the scale that Game of Thrones is shot in, I have more confidence that Thor 2 may be alright after all with one of it's directors.

Deffinatly not the norhmen. You can see Jamie has beard in the scene. He had no bread when he was taken by Robb. I bet it is the Bloody Murmmers in that scene.

I think they are simply expanding Jamie's part in season two, thus the creation of the Alton Lannister character that is supposedly in-prisoned with him.

They are expanding Jaime's role. They added his attempted escape, and most believe that they will include some scenes from ASOS late in season 2.

Also, check out Brienne in the video at 0:49. Can you say spot on casting?

@TheLancerJ -- Good to know, I was wondering? He was only in the 2nd book at the end --- Im open to a little change, but not too much... I wonder how they are going to do the river battle or if they are going to skip it like they did when the captured Jamie in season 1?
