An adaptation of Philip Pullman's acclaimed trilogy HIS DARK MATERIALS, is considered a modern masterpiece of imaginative fiction. The first series follows Lyra, a seemingly ordinary but brave young woman from another world. Lyra's search for a kidnapped friend uncovers a sinister plot involving stolen children, and becomes a quest to understand a mysterious phenomenon called Dust. As she journeys through the worlds, including our own, Lyra meets a determined and courageous boy called Will. Together they encounter extraordinary beings and dangerous secrets, with the fate of both the living - and the dead - in their hands.

So far so good. A shame they don't show that many daemons but i'll put it down to budget, guessing everyone's daemon is tiny enough to fit in their pockets 😂I actually liked the film, for me it done what it could in the time frame it had, but it was always going to be too complicated for one film, so glad it's a series now. Finally a HBO show I can watch with the kids.. but really it's a BBC show that's why.. if it was HBO proper there would be more boobs than daemons.
