The Big Bang Theory first premiered on CBS on Spetember 24th 2007. Boasting a staggering 50 Emmy nominations, while taking home 10 of those. Hate it or love it, there is no denying the cultural impact the series had. The Big Bang Theory, aligned with the massive push in comicbook movies at the time, had a hand in catapulting nerdum to the mainstream. The general public became much more accepting/aware of comics, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek, Star Wars and many other IP's the shows main cast showed an affection for. The Big Bang Theory came to a close on May 16th, 2019 after 12 seasons. Reason being, that Jim Parsons, who portrayed Sheldon Cooper, wanted to move on from the show and the creators felt that continuing without its biggest star, wasn't the best move.

The newest spin-off in The Big Bang Theory universe (TBBTU?...) Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, is set to premiere later this month on July 23rd, streaming on HBO Max. For those unfamiliar with the show, Stuart was the lonely comic shop owner, that the main cast frequented in The Big Bang Theory. Stuart was always made out to be an even more tragic/loner of a character than the 4 main guys.

Screen Rant is reporting, that Stuart Fails To Save The Universe is making it's debut at San Diego Comic-Con this month. From Screen Rant:

As officially announced by the cast of The Big Bang Theory sequel themselves, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is hosting a panel for San Diege Comic-Con 2026. The event will see the show's lead stars, Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie all attending the event, as well as the show's creators — Lorre, Prady, and Zak Penn. The panel will be moderated by Felicia Day and will take place on July 23, 2026, 2:15pm PST, in Hall H. Check out the official announcement below:

This would be the first time that the franchise has held a panel at San Diego Comic-Con in nearly a decade. The final time the cast and crew took the stage was in 2018. They spoke on season 12 of The Big Bang Theroy and what they hoped for the series moving forward. However, at the time, it was not known that would be the final season.

The panel for Stuart Fails To Save The Universe will be held in Hall H on the premier date of the show, July 23rd. It will be moderated by Felicia Day. Creator and star of the web series The Guild and founder of the digital netowrk Geek & Sundry.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is an upcoming American science fiction comedy television series created by Chuck LorreZak Penn, and Bill Prady. The series will be the fourth television series in The Big Bang Theory franchise, and the second direct spin-off of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

The series is slated to premiere on HBO Max on July 23, 2026.
