I like it when she goes undercover as another persona and actually does spy stuff. In the MCU they don't show Black Widow who's a spy like Peggy going undercover. At least they showed Sharon undercover as a cute nurse.

Unfortunately the Marvel movies aren't really interested in doing smaller-scale spycraft that would make a Black Widow movie really work. I could see them doing a big bold "James Bond" kind of movie with Widow, and that might be worthwhile, but James Bond doesn't really do spy stuff either...

@GliderMan they better a dress racism this season. She's dating a black man in the 1940s, you can't ignore the consequences that will bring upon her and the guy. They have to give I some attention. I'll assume he will want to keep it secret and she'll be unashamed as she's not afraid to upset the establishment. They have a chance to focus on a serious part of America's ugly history.

I think they will make it an important point. I watched an interview of Atwell and she said season 2 will have some sensitive themes explored

@GliderMan
I hate how they're being realistic with how women were treated but unrealistic with how blacks were treated. Racism is real, folks.

To what, specifically, are you referring? A white British woman dating a black man in LA in 1948 certainly wasn't common, but it's not history shattering.

Hey, Fitz has some game... some very sudden and awkward (but reciprocated) game.

@Spock0Clock But it does come with some repercussions and unfortunate prejudices. I'm a black male in modern day america and I've dated a white girl before and faced racism. Imagine 1948??? Had to be insane and 10 times as scary. Hope it's addressed in season 2 and I think it will be

Sure. I'm not trying to minimize that and I hope they address it. I'm just asking if there are any glaring examples of the MCU sugar-coating it. All I could think of was Cap's integrated unit, but due to its very irregular nature isn't all that crazy.

It seems like they've just avoided the topic altogether. Which isn't great, but at least they haven't been selling a fake version where racism didn't exist or something. (Again, to my memory.)

@Kyos rewatch you'll see him. He and Peggy share a kiss. Check the season 2 casting announcements and reveals. The actor playing her love interest is black

@Spock0Clock true true. Still hope they address it. Even Jessica Jones made a joke of Luke thinking Jessica cared that he was black lol

I think I won't (re)watch or read anything more about S2 from now on and just watch the show when it's out. Thanks though! :)

@GliderMan In Iron Man 2 she didn't use a different accent and wearing glasses with business clothing was a lame undercover. In TA what undercover? She was supposedly speaking her own Russian. Peggy completely changes accents and persona a few times.

Really hope Peggy eventually founds the Liberty Legion. The Whizzer, Miss America, and some others for full-on Golden Age awesomeness.

I hope that the appearances of Madam Masque and Joseph Manfredi in AGENT CARTER doesn't mean that we won't be seeing Silvermane and Count Nefaria in the MCU. Count Nefaria is a major Iron Man villain and Silvermane has ties to the Punisher and Spider-Man.
