Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely On Where AGENT CARTER Stands In The MCU
CBR got the chance to catch up with both Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as they discussed many ways Agent Carter is connected with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hit the jump to check it out!
While talking with Comic Book Resources, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus revealed just how much of the "Bigger MCU" we will see in Agent Carter. "We've been at this for a few years now. All of our reference points are within the universe. We need a scientist character. We didn't go very far to come up with Anton Vanko" Said Stephen McFeely.
Christopher Markus then chimed in and told how S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to play their part in the series, "There are references being made, whether you do them on purpose or not. We know Hydra eventually took over S.H.I.E.L.D." he then continued, "When somebody says something hopeful about the future in Agent Carter, that is going to be tinged with the fact we know the future didn't work out that well." Very true (Peggy's Alzheimers). "There are plenty of little indicators of the future going forward, and the legacy of both the S.S.R. and Howard's technology that will have ramifications later."
All will be answered in time. Agent Carter debuts tonight 8/7c on ABC. But not only will that be debuting, but we are also getting our first trailer for ANT-MAN. I think it's safe to say that today is a Marvel day. Sound off below with your thoughts!
