AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: Adrianne Palicki On Mockingbird's Loyalty & Her Views On Skye's Powers
Following yesterday's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Adrianne Palicki took part in an interview where she disccused last night's episode, where Bobbi Morse's loyalties lie, and how her character views Skye's Inhuman abilities.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Adrianne Palicki discussed last nights episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Bobbi's loyalties, her characters views on Skye, and the possibility of seeing some characters from bothe S.H.I.E.L.D.s switch sides.
"She’s a true soldier and she’s not doing anything wrong in her eyes. She’s doing the right thing. " Adrianne Palicki told Entertainment Weekly, " For Bobbi, she’s always going to do what she thinks the right thing is." When asked if Bobbi truly feels like she is doing the right think Palicki answered, "Right now, she really does. This was a choice she made. She’s been through hell with these people. She does care about Coulson’s team. She’s torn because of Hunter and she has a soft spot for Coulson. But at the end of it, she really is a true soldier and she feels there has been a compromise and she needs to take care of it."
Last night's epsidoe saw Coulson go on the run from the "real S.H.I.E.L.D." with Nick Fury's toolbox, and Palicki reveals that finding Coulson will be her S.H.I.E.L.D.'s primary episode mission going forward, and that "Coulson is pretty much the prize right now." When asked about the possibilty of an eventual face off between Lance Hunter and Bobbi Morse, the actress said it's, "definitely a huge possibility. Hunter is not happy. The thing about their relationship is that it’s ongoing. It’s the back and forth. It’s that funny Mr. and Mrs. Smith thing they’ve got going on. They love each other and they want to kill each other."
Palicki was then asked about Bobbi's reaction to the moment in last night's episode which saw Skye (Chloe Bennet) destoy a large chunk of a forest, Palicki's answer: "I think it’s shock. That’s the moment where she goes, “This has gotten way too out of hand. We don’t want to hurt these people. She’s a SHIELD agent.” But also seeing the level of her power is one of those moments for Bobbi that’s like, 'Holy crap, I had no idea how serious this was.'" The actress then went on to add that Bobbi will make it her mission to convince the "real" S.H.I.E.L.D. that Skye is an agent not a threat.
The discussion then turned to Fitz and Simmons, particularly when we saw Simmons take down Mockingbird last night. "I know, that bitch! [Laughs] I’m such a fan of the show, so I loved seeing that side of Simmons." When asked whether Bobbi and her S.H.I.E.L.D. will try to convince Fitz and Simmons to join her side, Palicki teased that some of Coulson's team may just change loyalties, "It’s definitely going to split some people up. It’s really going to put people in different positions as information comes out, loyalties will be divided in certain places."
