I think the producers have realized that no one has cared about any of the characters because they are all so cold (except for Skye). They took a huge step in rectifying that with this latest episode. Best episode yet.

Last night's episode was awesome! AoS has gotten better every week!

A lot of people, myself included, gives this show a lot of crap for the show not having superheroes, too many avenger references, too much comedy, etc. I have to say, though, Agents of Shield really brought it last night. Easily the best episode yet. Coulson was amazing. He alone make this show worth watching. The rest of the cast was surprisingly right behind him, helping to carry the emotional weight of a very tense episode.

Now, if the show can bring that vibe and add in some superheroes and villains from Marvel, AoS will truely be a contender. But for right now, the Tomorrow People is still tbe best show of the season...

smh.. People begged and begged for this show, only to give up on it without giving it a real chance. Last nights episode was excellent. Sure there are some down moments but overall its not a bad show. Its Frickin SHIELD on TV! 10 years ago, no one would have imagined this! I don't care that there are some smh moments, its still good TV.

I have to say, though, fitz getting a kiss on the cheek was the worst payoff for the end. Especially with all the sparks that were flying between them the last half of the episode... And now, it looks like there's something between coulson and may, too? I hope the show doesn't really try to juggle 3 "will they, won't they" couples at the same time...

xcrementus - 11/6/2013, 4:25 AM
the kiss on the cheek was actually kinda sad...its hard to know at this point wether Fitz/Simmons actually LOVE each other or just love their friendship. Fitz clearly wants Skye (who wouldn't?)..I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Buffy/Willo/Xander style triangle between the two.

If Fitz doesn't take Simmons, i will. Im pretty sure I'm in love with her. She was AMAZING in this episode, so was Fitz, poor guy.
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 11/6/2013, 4:30 AM
With Fitz/Simmons, I don't think there's anything there besides deep friendship. And with Coulson and May, I think May knows more about Coulson's 'circumstances' then she's letting on, and she's sad, she wants to tell him what she knows.

I think this show will improve, but it is in desperate need of a retooling--more Marvel properties leveraging and maybe a cast shake-up.

I get it if you don't like the show. I get it if you want to hate on it or rant about why you think it sucks. But guess what? No one cares, especially ABC, Disney or Marvel. Let me give you some insight. Whether or not you watch it, the show is going to attract comic book fans. It is, plain and simple. It is not going to please all comic book fans. This show like any other television show is about one thing: THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. And in order to acquire that dollar the show has to attract NON COMIC BOOK FANS. While you and I would love to see Power Man & Iron Fist or Cloak & Dagger, most of the general audience couldn't care less. Shows like Lois & Clark & Smallville last because they attracted NON COMIC BOOK FANS. The show is still in the top three every week for it's night. Just because you may not like it, doesn't mean it will be cancelled or that it is bad. Yes, they've lost some viewers. But, again, it is still doing well in the ratings and I predict it will soon level off or climb.

So we're just going to avoid talking about that pointless episode we got last night, huh? We were teased a death and got more annoying babbling from the Rescue Rangers.
TelaVizion
TelaVizion - 11/6/2013, 4:41 AM
the stupid voting update kept me from seeing the trailer last night.

I actually thought they was gonna kill her off (to try and satisfy some the cry babies out there)
TelaVizion
TelaVizion - 11/6/2013, 4:42 AM
Oh, and there is more now than close friendship between Fitz/Simmons. Fitz realized it last night.

I was talking about no article on it, to clarify.
CapemA
CapemA - 11/6/2013, 4:49 AM
One more thing, Skye is gorgeous. But while Grant and Fitz try to figure out how, when and who will end up with her, I'll gladly take Simmons and conduct anatomical and biological experiments with her. She can examine, poke and prod me all she wants, knowing that will return the favor. :-P

MoonDoggyX
MoonDoggyX - 11/6/2013, 5:04 AM
Simmons did steal the show frrom Skye las night! They finally let it show that she is atractive, too.

Fitz/simmons was being set up to be more than friends last night, but then the show copped out at the verry end with the awkward kiss on the cheek.

First they show fitz hit on skye, then later he realizes that simmons is the one that's always been there for him and then risks his life to save her. If the whole episode ran exactly the same, just without that realization, i'd say definite friendszone... Otherwise, no payoff at the end of the episode or even a slight change to their relationship going forward, mans thet the realization was for nothing at all.

Why, WHY people come to these articles simply to post positive shit? I mean, they're not even trying to open a conversation, they just want to love!

Seems fair to me.

Also, Skye made a Big Lebowski reference. "This guy makes Captain America look like The Dude."

And that was one ugly ass scar he had..... Either they "fixed" the LMD to have that to pull off the lie, or he really is not a LMD :(

Maybe Doctor Strange did something to bring him back? It can be a good way to introduce him.

TheSisko - 11/6/2013, 5:14 AM
I totally thought May was going to do Coulson after she told him takeoff his shirt. I am not sure how the FitzSimmons relationship will play out as Fitz is clearly interested in Skye, I am looking forward to his major inferiority complex coming full force next week. I also hope we get more of the sandbox and maybe an episode with the Vault or any other SHIELD prison.

@TheSisko: I thought she was going to do him in a previous ep., where she asked him if he wanted her to go downstairs and put the mattress down so they could go a few rounds. lol.

So last night's show sucked. I hate how they keep dropping lame hints that Coulson is a LMD. A little heavy on the iron? And other little puns and shit. The writing is horrible, the cast is horrible. Don't like any of them and I'm starting to dislike Coulson and wish he would have stayed dead.
isee
isee - 11/6/2013, 5:20 AM
All right. I gave it six episodes. I really wanted to like this, but it's not doing it for me at all. I just do not find the characters interesting at all. I'm done watching.

Be better than me, keep watching!
MoonDoggyX
MoonDoggyX - 11/6/2013, 5:21 AM
Televizion - its likely a form of the super soldier serum. They've showed that Coulson is at peak condition more than once and the serum saved blanski's life simularly in TIH... As for now, the scar shows that that is indeed the same Agent Coulson. Or, maybe he was never "normal"...
CherryBomb
CherryBomb - 11/6/2013, 5:23 AM
Last night showed how lucky they are to have found Elizabeth Henstridge.
She is a fantastic actress. She really is.
They need to keep her for the long run.
TheSisko
TheSisko - 11/6/2013, 5:24 AM
@Generationx I think Coulson as an LMD is a redherring. I like the writing and the cast, they have lots of chemistry and scripts keep getting better.

I skipped through the show on DVR and didnt miss anything. Nothing happens in the show. She fell off the plane but was saved. I didnt care if she died or not since it is only the 6th show and she has had a minor role. They should have shown at the end that she still had a little of the power at the end by moving something. That would have been worth it. She would have kept it a secret. Finally a superhero sort of!

-I am starting to despite the tie ins to the other marvel movies. They seem forced. I also noticed on Twitter that the man people who are liking the show soo much are women. Next week looks like another Borefest. Wake me up if a Hero or a Villian shows up.
