Even Stan Lee Wants To See Some More Interesting Characters In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
Have you been hoping that we'll soon see some more interesting heroes join the beloved Agent Coulson and, er, the rest of them? Well, Stan Lee has now shared his thoughts on Deathlok and Sif coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., emphasising the necessity for more "colourful" characters.
In a desperate bid for higher ratings this coming Tuesday's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will feature a "surprise" cameo from comic book legend, Stan "The Man" Lee. Talking to IGN Movies recently, Lee was asked to share his thoughts on how the series has headed in a different direction to the comics by focusing on Agent Coulson and a team of unknown characters. "Well, I guess they felt they had to have some normal people — or seemingly normal people — and certainly Clark is doing a very good job playing the role. I just feel that we also need more colorful characters to be popping up all the time. I don't mean that Clark isn't colorful as an actor, but what I mean is characters who as comic book characters are more colorful." As for whether or not he believes that the upcoming appearances from Deathlok and Sif will help fill that quota of colourful characters, he added: "Yeah, that will be great. I think that's what the show needs. I think people will tune in to see those characters and will enjoy seeing them in the context of being with normal people on a normal mission."
