Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will premiere on Tuesday, September 24th at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time on ABC Network.

Not really at all. But you're just trying to start a flame war because you didn't like The Dark Knight Rises, and you actually no legitimate qualms about the poster. You just wanted an excuse to criticize something totally unrelated so you brought it here. Well done, GuardianTroll.

Anyway, yeah this teaser for a poster thing is kinda dumb. Even so, I would probably watch this show even if Clark Gregg was the only one in it. Here's hoping the show meets my expectations. All other promotional material thus far have made it look awesome.

@ChanchoMcGrady

Wow! You got all that off 4 words and a picture?

Here's where you're wrong:

1. I LOVE The Dark Knight Rises. It's not perfect, but it puts a great ending to my favorite film trilogy ever.

2. Even though I love the film, there's no denying that that poster is crap. There was hardly any work put into it. Just a bunch of lazy

3.

Oh they're all terrible. I'm partial to this one, myself:

See, it's done well enough to where he looks *somewhat* present in the scene, but he's leaning backwards in this impossible pose in relation to the plane he's standing on.

Seriously, I think there's been some sort of photoshop wiz genocide in hollywood, because movie posters are horrible across the board. You typically get one that isn't hideous (see the current Thor poster or the first couple of Iron Man 3 posters) but then they go on a cardboard cutout-spamming frenzy and you end up with a bonkers "The Avengers" result, where everyone's proportions in relation to one another IS BANANAS.

I liked the DOFP posters. Thought those were well done.
SimonM7
SimonM7 - 8/4/2013, 7:37 PM
Well, as long as they don't try to compose these multi-character/object scenes with their COMPLETELY unrelated full-body snapshots, they're mostly fine. I thought the first character posters for IM3 were good, too.

It's like they're just discovering basic photoshop tools. Here someone found the smudge tool and was like "WEEEE I CAN MAKE IT LOOK LIKE HE'S GOING FAASSST!"

(I hope that link worked.)

My bad. Sorry for the snap judgment.

I guess you're right, it is kind of a lazy poster, even if it is still kinda cool. The best poster for that movie was the one with the broken cowl with Bane walking away.
