last episode was good, cant wait to see how all this unfolds and how the phase movies are lined up. With Shield not answering during Thor:TDW (and being no where during IM3) and Shield being up and operational during that during that event , im now confused.

Oh, please; there are no fans sending questions into this show. Those useless, idiotic questions could NEVER have been asked by real people. You're not fooling anyone. If I wanted to know personal irrelevancies about the actors, I would simply analyze and dissect their lives like any other normal person on the planet would do. That's 20 min of my life wasted.

The show is just out of this world boring.

I couldn't stay awake through the first act.
This is happening alot with Marvel's shows.

Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man and AoS all put me to sleep.

@soforizo: Yeah. That whole segment felt like a Disney XD minisode. You know, those little episode thingies they play between commercials and the next show in the queue. But why is this show taking irrelevant questions from 8 year olds? I could see 1, but all of the questions? Ugh.

@Battabin: Every single TV show Marvel does has been dumbed down. There's no mistake here. S.H.E.I.L.D. is just another churn of the mill, right along with their animated movies. It's deliberate. That's why they don't recognize the complaints, just like they don't recognize the complaints about Ultimate Spider-Man. They've chased away their most loyal fans for diaper buddies who'll buy anything with a Marvel character attached to it. Yet again, greed ruins a great product.

The premise of the episode was solid, but the execution and the details bogged it down.

I for one am sick of Ace. The kid is not a very good actor and if I never see him again I will be happy.

I am not a big fan of J. August Richards. I kinda tolerated him in Angel, but in SHIELD he is pretty wooden. His scenes where he is stressing out and crying over Ace were just terrible. Like a high school play.

In fact the level of acting on this episode was pretty weak all around. The scene with the 'flower dress girl' and the ex-marine Poe where she is trying to be coy and seductive were cringe inducing.

The scene where Coulson and Ward are driving Lola on the way to meet the girl in college was also pretty bad. Coulson was pretty much sawing at the steering wheel and the car is moving straight. And they blew through a few stop signs to boot! Clearly the car was on a trailer. But its that kind of simple stuff that bugs me about the show. When they are on the airplane there is ZERO noise from the jets in the background. The plane never moves or turns or flew through turbulent air. The way they shoot inside it makes it seem like a TV sound stage and not the inside of a cargo plane. It comes off as make believe as opposed to a TV show that is committed to delivering a convincing environment to the screen. Just take a look at how NIKITA handles their scenes inside their airplane/HQ. You will see the difference. The lighting from the outside, the way the shoot the set from down the middle of the plane so both walls on either side are visible. The plane turns and they move with it. It shakes and they move with it. The sound from the engine is constant as it would be on a jet aircraft. Nikita GETS IT is a ton of ways that SHIELD does not.

Also, Captain America is strong, but I don't think he would be able to push a bulldozer like a blocking sled. That line from Mike Peterson during his SHIELD training was the kind of fan service that weakens the show.

I'm still rooting for AOS to improve and be better, but the execution thus far leaves me frustrated.

The show seems to be coming along now, as an homage to 70's and 80's shows. Almost every cliche and convention are being used. Does anyone else see coming the Coulson is Skye's father. The plane reminds me of the semi-truck from Knight Rider, we only need Lola to have A.I. installed so she can be K.I.T.T.

Just kinda glad I wasn't the only one catching the stop sign running. If you are half assing something simple like that it means you don't care. In today's age it's easy to catch mistakes. They shouldn't think because fans watch the show they can get away with being sloppy. The whole show was phoned in. Better start improving soon.

@deepee

I'm only going to argue one point of your comment. I don't like your conclusions, but I can't argue with the way you wrote that comment. Well Done.

Captain America's strength has been varied at times in the MCU.

For example... In the First Avenger, during the montage of him doing the song and dance crap(worst part of the movie), at the very end of it, shows him holding up a convertible car with a few girls in it. Now, not sure if car was suspended by wires to make it look real, or if he was lifting it. All depends on what they were trying to make it seem.

But, that's not all that important. Besides, they didn't say that Captain America pushed the bulldozer, he may have been using something comparable for his size and strength.

Someone should make a poll about if this show should be cancelled or not. It seems that the hate is running strong with this one.

Its pretty obvious that this show is geared towards kids and moms lol not regular marvel fans, but to increase the existing fan base. That way, when the dads and brothers want to go see the films or buy the comics, the moms and sister wont be so clueless.

Don't remind me about the fact that they replaced the awesome EMH with this crap called Avengers Assemble!

AoS is getting better and better, I suggest to all the haters to give it another chance. And aren't you at least a little bit curious about the reason why Coulson is alive? That's one of the reasons that convinces me that I have to keep watching. Also, the possible explanation of SHIELD's absence from IM3 and TDW.

I'm sticking with this show but it needs major improvement. Last night's episode didn't really advance the plot too much and seemed more like a tease for what's going to come in the next half of the season. On a positive note, I'm glad that they're finally establishing a clear villain or "big bad" for the season in the form of the Clairvoyant. They need to stop beating around the bush about what happened to Coulson, though.

Did anyone else notice that, when Coulson was driving through suburban Cleveland, he was turning the wheel 360 but the car was going straight as an arrow? That was some bad fake driving.

I think a problem this show has is that there are too many characters and none of them are written well. The only characters that have been really fleshed out are Coulson and Skye, with just a little here and there for the others. Too much action and not enough character development. They're digging themselves into a hole and I don't know if they're gonna be able to crawl out.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen every episode of AoS and enjoyed most of them but I was hoping that the show would be better than it is. This late in the season they should have found their footing already.
