SPOILERS: Check Out The Promo For Next Week's Episode Of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Director Mace's big secret was revealed during tonight's installment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and if you don't want to know what it is you'd best skip this promo for next week's episode, "Wake Up"...

So, it turns out Jeffrey Mace isn't an Inhuman after all. The Director simply takes a type of cocktail derived from Mr Hyde's (Daisy's father) formula that gives him limited super-strength, and was actually planted as the new S.H.I.E.L.D. head by Talbot and his superiors. Though Mace will stay on as the public face of the division, Coulson is once again calling the shots. Squee!

The promo for next week's episode teases some growing tension between Fitz and Simmons as the others begin to wise up to the fact that there's a traitor in their midst, and we also get a glimpse of May Vs. AIDA round 2.

Check it out below, and let us know what you thought of "The Patriot" in the usual place.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - “Wake Up" - May races to find the truth about what happened to her, while Aida's next move could mean the death of them all, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, JANUARY 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network.
