Charlie Cox Reveals Which DAREDEVIL/SPIDER-MAN Storyline He Hopes To Be Part Of

Fans have been hoping for years that they would get to see Daredevil and Spider-Man team-up in live-action, and now they're both in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's a very real possibility! Here, Charlie Cox reveals which comic book story he hopes to see adapted for the big or small screen...

In the following interview with MTV News, Daredevil star Charlie Cox reveals which specific comic book storyline featuring a team-up between the Man Without Fear and Spider-Man he's particularly fond of, as well as his desire to make that a reality on the big or small screen.

The British actor also comments on his character's role in the likes of Civil War and the New Avengers, and seems hopeful that he will end up becoming part of one of those in Marvel's Phase 3 slate. Cox also expresses disappointment that real-life friend Andrew Garfield is no longer Spidey.

I'm not sure I can recall the comic he's referring to in the video below, but it definitely sounds familiar and would be fun to see. Can you remember which it is? First to get it wins a No-Prize!

That would be nice if Charlie Cox appear in next year's Civil War...i'd be happy with a reference(maybe Cap is thinking about recruiting the DD?)

With the MCU getting bigger, and this year's addition of Spidey in it, I have hope again a certain "family" in brought into the fold in the near future...lol

Seeing as how Daredevil has all round success with critics and ratings,
I wouldnt be surprised if they do integrate more of the universe and have Spidey appear.

It would be good to have a Civil War appearance and then have him appear in a Daredevil episode

Id love to see a Spider-man/Daredevil crossover both characters are great Characters and Charlie is such a cool guy. I miss Andrew Garfield too and I would have liked to have seen his movies made canon in the MCU he was great as Spider-man. and im one of the few that liked Amazing Spider-man 2. Tobey was good too. Ether i would have liked to have seen again. Than another recast but a crossover would be great.

The real reason why Andrew Garfield got booted from Sony was because he started to act rude with the company's chief.

personally, I'd love it if they could some how get their rights back from Fox by the start of Infinity War and end the MCU with the Secret War story line where Nick Fury convinces Spidey, Wolverine, Cap't America, Daredevil, Black Widow, and Luke Cage to overthrow Latveria. Along with Daisy (Skye from AoS). That would be so incredible to watch in Live action. They could literally end the universe at the end. Give it a year or two, then reboot the whole thing back up again with newer, younger characters.

Omg if they bring in Spider-Man through Daredevil, that'd be amazing and I can see it working better than through the films. I mean eventually yes they'll show up in the big screen, but I think Spider-Man would work way better as a television show.

I was a little surprised at the lack of guests (White Tiger, Echo, etc) in the first season, but I guess not really as the focus should be on Matt. The writers really seem to get that, so I would expect any guest starring in season two to be kinda minimal and well incorporated.

Don't think they'd do it. Not until after he's properly established, whichever film you'd consider that to be.

On the other hand Sony/Marvel could take advantage, more exposure of Spidey where they can. Why not.

I want to see the Secret War story line. The one where Fury convinces Spidey, DD, Luke, Cap, Widow, Wolvie, and Daisy (skye) to overthrow Latveria. This would be the perfect way to bring the MCU to an end after the Infinity Wars. The X-men, The FF, and Hawkeye all make appearances in that series. It would be perfect. It would put a cap on this run. Then you could take a year or two off, then hire newer, younger actors to reboot the MCU all over again.

Allright all done

Sorry, Charlie, but that storyline can't work, because Marvel has opted to go with a teenaged Spider-Man. The jury would definitely notice a little boy swimming in your Daredevil costume.

Looks like the NFL draft, Kentucky Derby, May-Pac fight, and the NHL and NBA playoff games really hurt AOU's box office this weekend.

I'm not dying to see spidey in the show. I don't want every installment of the mcu to be so linked to the universe. With that said, please update the costume.

@Superior and @MrPagBrewster
Garfield was wrong to publicly say what he said, but he I do understand his side. If I was an actor who was portraying a character so close to my heart, and to have the studio constantly reshuffle the wonderful work done by the actual director and writers, I would be fed up as well. What's annoying is that TASM 2 was the 2nd time Sony had done this with Garfield.

That being said, Charlie Cox is a fantastic Daredevil, and I would be more than open for this.

Would have been nice to see Spidey and Matt as contemporaries, but wouldn't mind seeing them as pairing up in a brief mentorship kinda relationship.

Seeing Andrew's Spidey and and Charlie's Daredevil would've been gold.

That hardly sounds like Garfield "insulted" anyone.
