Actor Scott Glenn recently spoke with Collider, and discussed his role in the upcoming Marvel and Netflix series, Daredevil. While discussing his role as Stick, Glenn revealed why Marvel wanted to make a Daredevil series, and how many episodes we can expect to see his character appear in.

After revealing that he was unfamiliar with the source material Scott Glenn revealed why Marvel started with Daredevil for the Netflix series,"It was up to Marvel to decide which superhero they wanted to start with. I know they wanted one of the first three or four to be a woman, but they knew they wanted to start with Daredevil because they thought it had been given such a disservice when it was made into a feature."

"So, all it took for me was to read the script of this one episode that I’m in – Episode 7 – and I just totally loved the character." Glenn said, revealing that he will only appear in one episode of the higly anticipated series. The actor then reveals that he is scared about how well he performed, and that he is going "going to watch Episode 1, and then skip right to Episode 7 because I don’t know whether I pulled it off or not."

I hope to see Daredevil go far, even beyond just the Defenders. If the rumors of the Kingpin being a shadow-y villain in the first MCU Spider-Man flick is true, I'd definitely love if Daredevil was a part of that.

"they knew they wanted to start with Daredevil because they thought it had been given such a disservice when it was made into a feature."

And what a disservice it was, that and that equally garbage Directors Cut.

Stick should really be a prominent character in the first season and be a recurring one through the series. In Frank Miller's Man Without Fear he was a major character in the arc.

Only episode 7? Well I guess they can't do too much with his character.

KurtWagner1225 - Hopefully it won't ruin the flow of the story, I hate it when flashbacks come out of nowhere and ruin the flow of a good scene/episode.

I met Scott Glenn once in Sun Valley, Idaho. He is a very small guy.

I'm guessing nobody at Marvel saw the directors cut.

This show is going to be so elfin near perfect its ridiculous.

I think theres some people out there who won't have the patience for a reeeaaaaally slow drawn out origin story here and are gunna want it all in the first 4 episodes, but its just not gunna happen. This show is going to be an amazingly told story.

Never trust IMDB. Think of it as a poor mans Wiki Movie page.

Stick appears in very few pages in Man Without a Fear. Very Few, so its about right. And I am pretty sure he will be Back.

I wonder how much of this show is flashback. 'Cause I doubt the first episode is just gonna be Matt as a kid, getting blinded, his dad dying and what have you. I think it'll end up with there being a flashback every few episodes.

As long as his prescene leaves an impact/meaning to the show/character.

Yeah, I read it like that. I reckon he's in more than one episode. Probably the first and seventh, 'cause he says they're the only ones he's gonna watch. Obviously, he's joking but they might be the only ones he's in.

Only one episode? Really? Wow, I didn't SEE that one coming. I mean it... I was really BLIND-SIDED by the news.
