"He's gonna wake up, right?"

Legion continued to challenge us tonight, taking us on another trip to explore even deeper regions of David Haller's all-powerful and severely twisted mind. However, despite making some progress, the episode ended with David falling into a very sticky situation, essentially becoming trapped within his own head. Next week's episode will attempt to rescue him from his new reality as Syd does everything she can to find some critical answers.

Check out the promo for "Chapter 4" below:

"Chapter 4" (Airs March 1, 10:00 pm e/p) - David's in trouble, while his friends search for answers. Written by Nathaniel Halpern; directed by Larysa Kondracki.

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) – a troubled young man who may be more than human.

Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which he must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him being a mutant.

A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.

Legion features:
Dan Stevens as David Haller
Rachel Keller as Syd Barrett
Jean Smart as Melanie
Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker
Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy Wallace
Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk
Katie Aselton as Amy Haller
Bill Irwin as Cary Loudermilk
Jemaine Clement as Oliver Bird

I'm gonna catch up on Friday (I've been up to my eyeballs in homework lately).

Also, between this and John Wick 2, I think I'm in for a nice birthday weekend.

God, I love this show so much. I know it's just started, but at the rate it's going, it might join my personal CBTV pantheon with Jessica Jones and Preacher.

Keep at it, Hawley. Keep at it.

I'm loving this show. I hope they keep it away from the movie-verse.
I havent watched tonight's episode yet, but is there anyone but me who thinks the fat guy is the Shadow King?

@sKeemAn - I'm rooting for Mojo and a twisted adaptation of The Truman Show. This week's episode dove into memories through the use of old fuzzy-edged tv screen effects complete with modified audio.

@sKeemAn - Yeah it' possible, but i hope it's Mojo, not like in the comics, but an adaptation of that character!

@sKeemAn - I've been thinking that all along. Shadow King was the inspiration for Xavier's formation of the X-Men after his encounter with him on the astral plane. It would be fun to see an onscreen adaptation of such a great character.

The only reason i dont think its Mojo is because the Shadow King had major dealings with Xavier. It would make sense for him to be the big bad plus SK has major psychic ability. Mojo being an alien race doesnt seem like he's fit with this character.

@sKeemAn - i think its one of his personalities and its power is teleportation. it shows up and the mri teleports. its shows up when he and sid change bodies and everyone in the room gets teleported. it shows up and him, memory dude, and dr lady get teleported. guessing angriest little boy is another one. i wasnt sure we were going to get the personalities in this, but that last shot of him surround by people screaming at him in his head convinced me they are there
