LOKI Is The Most-Watched Marvel Series On Disney+ According To Latest Data

Though The Mandalorian is way ahead of all of 'em, new data has revealed that Loki is the most-watched Marvel Cinematic Universe-based series on the Disney+ streaming service.

Moon Knight recently debuted its first episode on Disney+, and while viewership data won't be available until the season concludes, the show will be doing well to catch Loki.

THR has shared an analysis of viewing data for the streaming service, and it reveals that the God of Mischief's solo series amassed a total of 5.23 billion minutes watched, with WandaVision coming in second at 4.8 billion minutes. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye came in at third and fourth place with 4.15 billion minutes and 3.45 billion minutes, respectively.

The galaxy far, far away is still the prime Disney+ destination, though, with both seasons of The Mandalorian clocking up a massive 14.5 billion minutes combined.

Loki is also tied with Hawkeye as the highest-rated Disney+ MCU show on Rotten Tomatoes at 92% (WandaVision is just behind at 91%).

As of right now, Loki is the only live-action Marvel Studios Disney+ series to be renewed for a second season (What If...? will also return). Showrunner Kate Herron will not be back, however, with Moon Knight's Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson taking over directing duties.

What do you guys make of these numbers? Are you surprised to see Loki emerge as the most-watched Marvel series? Drop us a comment down below.

Yea, not for me but that's why there's a wide variety of different kinds of shows.

It's my favorite so far for sure. I've liked them all though (WandaVision finale was dire). Not big on Moon Knight, unfortunately.

Pretty much feel the same about all the series. Overall I liked them all even though there were a few minor hiccups along the way. Its too early in the series to make any decision on Moonknight. I'll wait until the full series is finished before stating how I think it went.

If you look at all of the MCU D+ shows they do take a few episodes for set up and to get moving.

When you look at what Netflix achieved all of them are pretty poor to be honest. I can’t really describe it but they just feel cheap somehow and the acting a bit wooden with poor scripting. A bit like a B movie maybe. Out if all of them I’ve enjoyed WandaVision the most up until now.

What If?

I really liked the first episode of MoonKnight so hopefully it stays the course and is good.

I put Loki slightly above WandaVision and I haven't even finished What If so, yea, like that.

Wow. Both seasons of mandalorian beat every series in the mcu? And that first season came out the same year as rise of Skywalker, meaning it was prime star wars hating time, while the mcu was at its peak popularity. Well done mando!

Star Wars has a much larger fanbase and Mandalorian was the show that launched D+ so yea. I've rewatched both seasons multiple times.

Loki did really well with only 6 episodes. I’m surprised WandaVision didn’t have more minutes with having a higher episode count, but it was the first show out of the gate for the MCU starring a second string Avenger, so maybe it shouldn’t be all that surprising. Hawkeye being low on the list however is likely very disappointing.

@2050 -
I think it has a lot to do with repeat viewing. The thing is that they don't need huge numbers because they are building a library of content that will inform storytelling down the road.

@2050 - Remember that Hawkeye hasn't been out as long as the other D+ Marvel shows. Some people haven't gotten around to it yet plus only the diehardiest of diehards will have already done a full rewatch.

FATWS should be the bigger worry for Marvel as it's been out for a year and stars the new Captain America, who there are solo movie plans for. I doubt Kate or Clint will be soloing a movie any time soon.

That’s not surprising though I would have guessed Mandalorian

I would love to see the comparison between WV and Loki after they first aired. I do think Loki was the best, but I think the biggest difference, as someone else said, is rewatchability. Loki is a total binge. WV would not have been as enjoyable, IMHO, if it had been released all at once instead of one episode at a time. A huge part of the enjoyment of WV was the ride and the theories, etc, week to week. I've rewatched it, but now you just kind of want to FF through the first couple episodes since they are basically just extended set-ups and time period gags. (And, of course, the Ralph Bohner gut punch still is a huge let down.)

Loki is six digestable episodes with a compact story (which is a weird thing to say given the twists and the massive implications of what happens) and absolutely great dialogue. I can rewatch that as basically a long, really enjoyable, movie.

And you can dial in any single episode without doing it in order. When I look at WV I'm really only interested in seeing a few of them and not the first 3, which are period gags with little connection to the larger story.

Maybe the most watched but not the best, WandaVision was the best.

I'm hoping Moon Knight tops them all but I won't know until I have finished watching.
