Loki remains one of Marvel Studios' best Disney+ TV shows, and that means expectations are incredibly high for the upcoming second season. Few official details have been revealed, though we know a new character will enter the fray when Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan plays TVA tech expert OB.

"His job is basically every piece of tech, every computer, every thing that is running at the TVA," co-executive producer Kevin Wright tells Entertainment Weekly. "He either designed it, or he fixes it and keeps it running."

"I think Kevin Feige made a call maybe April 12, just to follow up and say, 'Please, please do this,'" Wright adds with a laugh. "Little did we know, Ke is apparently already a giant Marvel fan and was a big fan of Loki season 1."

As exciting as it is to see the beloved Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom star join the MCU, there's even more intrigue surrounding Jonathan Majors' role as Kang Variant, Victor Timely. The actor is expected to appear in at least half of the season and Wright is eager for fans to see what he brings to the table.

"Victor Timely is somebody that we are very, very excited about," he teases. "When you look at Kang, he has a very funny comic backstory. He has all these iterations. Timely was one that we've always wanted to do in Loki. And I think we're really excited about how that integrates into the season. It's a big part of the show."

As for what the show will look like as we head into the second batch of episodes, Wright assures fans everything they loved about Loki season 1 will be front and centre here. "We made a weird show [in season 1], and people responded to how weird it was," he explains. "So, we wanted to push it further."

Check out a new still from Loki season 2 in the Tweet/X below.

Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.

Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. The Head Writer is Eric Martin.

Loki season 2 begins streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.

Didn't really like loki season 1. I expected loki with powers and they nerfed him. But my favorite parts had to do with Kang so basically the last episode.

Season 2 looks like they're taking TVA being in disarray, adding more Kang/Victor/heWhoRemains, and allowing Loki to actually be Loki
So i have a feeling I'll really like season 2!

I didn't know (or forgot) Ke Huy Quan was in this. I am somehow even more excited for this show than I already was.

So is Loki S2 going to be saving the MCU? Cuz right now they sure could use a win, and if it is as good as S1 then we are in for a treat and almost back to old MCU days, which are sorely missed right now

Hmm sounds like another director that has the wrong idea of what Marvel and more importantly Loki are. Two things ‘funny’ and ‘weird’ he mentions often they certainly are not.

I just want to know if the TVA is hiring and where do I go to apply?

Or should I wait until Season 2 has aired?

Seriously, it looks like good job security.

@LSHF - Same here! I mean, the TVA is outside time, so it's like how many lunch/coffee breaks do you get? Does overtime exist? At what point can you actually retire (without being pruned that is)?

Seriously, I wonder if they will take any time in this season to explain how the people who work at the TVA actually got there. So far it just kinda seems like they were always there and will always be there (which of course begs the question about Mobius's whole jet ski obsession 'cause I didn't see a whole lot of bodies of water at the TVA in Season 1).

@StSteven - Great questions regarding the hours (someone has to think of these things).

An explanation of how they got there would be nice.

@LSHF - Yeah, we don't necessarily need an explicit explanation of how they got there, but at least a little more backstory would be cool, especially if the TVA will play a larger role in some of the movies coming up (i.e. possibly "DP3", "A:KD", and/or "A:SW"). Although, if that's indeed the case maybe they'll want to leave a deeper explanation of the history of the TVA for one of those movies due to the fact that not everyone who sees the movies also has D+ (although the converse of that is generally not true).

Loki's first season was enjoyable for me.

Loki is easily my favorite Disney+ series (the bar is pretty low though..) so I’m excited for Season 2!
