We're now just a few weeks away from the season 2 premiere of Loki, and Marvel Studios has shared a brief teaser promo and a behind-the-scenes featurette spotlighting some new footage from the God of Mischief's highly-anticipated return to the small screen.
The promo is mainly focused on Miss Minutes, the initially affable and welcoming TVA mascot who showed a much more sinister side in the season 1 finale when it was revealed that she'd been working against Loki and Mobius (who also appear in a couple of shots) the whole time.
The video also reveals a slightly earlier weekly time-slot of Thursday, 6PM PT.
The featurette includes interviews with several main cast members, along with another glimpse of a scene featuring the Kang Variant known as Victor Timely, who we recently learned would be a pretty big part of the season.
"Victor Timely is somebody that we are very, very excited about," said exec producer Kevin Wright. "When you look at Kang, he has a very funny comic backstory. He has all these iterations. Timely was one that we've always wanted to do in Loki. And I think we're really excited about how that integrates into the season. It's a big part of the show."
Of course, actor Jonathan Majors' involvement comes with quite a bit of controversy after the recent allegations made against the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star, but Loki had already wrapped filming at the time, so Marvel wasn't really left with many options.
Depending on how he fares in court next month, it'll be interesting to see if the studio releases an official statement or remains silent on the matter.
Loki season 2 "promises new excitement as it thrusts the infamous God of Mischief into a new set of adventures with the TVA."
The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani will direct all six episodes.
The head writer is Eric Martin. Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin R. Wright, Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Eric Martin and Michael Waldron are the executive producers, with Trevor Waterson serving as co-executive producer.
Loki season 2 begins streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.
