LOKI's Final Episode Ends With A Mid-Credits Scene Featuring A HUGE Announcement - SPOILERS

Loki is officially getting a second season. Marvel Studios announced the news in a mid-credits scene during the finale, which was no great surprise when the show ends with a series of major cliffhangers.

Obviously, this is a major piece of news, but the cryptic headline is for those of you who want to be surprised by the stinger. There is only one, and it simply features Loki's case file being stamped with the words "Loki Will Return In Season 2." It's a nice reveal for fans, albeit one that's left us desperate to see where this story is going to head next.

There had been rumblings from the start that Loki was planned as a twelve-episode, two-season story, though Marvel Studios never made it official. We're expecting a press release to drop later today with more details, though it's just as likely Disney will keep us waiting!

One thing we can say for sure is that Loki is essential viewing ahead of movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

We'll have a lot more to say about the season finale - titled "For All Time. Always." - as the day goes on, but be sure to let us know your hopes for this second season down in the comments.
