LOKI's Time-Slipping Adventures Continue In New Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Tom Hiddleston's Loki will continue to anchor the MCU side of the Disney+ streaming service as the release of season 2 of the time-traveling, action-adventure drama draws near.

Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief is back for another tangle with the variants of He Who Remains (played by Jonathan Majors) and Miss Minutes (voiced by Tara Strong).

Loki season 2 will debut on Disney+ on October 6, 2023, and will consist of six episodes. It will be included in the MCU's Phase Five.

Also returning for season 2 are Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15.

New cast members include Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Rafael Casal (Blindspotting), and Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones).

Plot specifics for the second season are unknown; however, the teaser depicts Loki and Mobius collaborating to explore a new threat to the timeline. Previously released footage also shows a multiverse plot, with Loki meeting what appears to be a new variant of He Who Remains (Victor Timely), after the TVA creator was killed by Sylvie in season 1.

The first trailer for Loki season 2 broke a Disney+ record with over 80 million views, indicating that despite the lukewarm response to more recent Disney+ MCU offerings, interest in Loki remains high. It will certainly be interesting to see if that level of interest remains once the show starts airing.

The sophomore season of the God of Mischief's TVA adventures also has a relatively modest budget, especially when compared to Marvel's Secret Invasion.

Loki season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 6.

The show escaped Disney+'s latest round of release date shuffling which saw What If...?  pushed to December 2023, Echo delayed to January 2024, X-Men ’97 to Q1 2024, and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries rescheduled for an October 2024 release date.

Additionally, Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man were pulled off Marvel's release schedule. It's thought that these projects aren't canceled but the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes are leaving Marvel Studios executives with no idea of when they'll resume production.

Are you excited for Loki season 2? Or are you losing interest in all things MCU? Let us know in the comment section below.

Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

Definitely the best MCU show on Disney+. The only MCU show that added to the overall lore of the MCU beyond No Way Home.

The Loki team definitely feels like they have the best writers of the Marvel stuff right now. It feels like classic MCU. My hope is that after a fair deal is reached for the WGA/SAG, Feige is given more creative breathing space. It's clear to me that Chapel was a terrible boss

So I’ve been doing a rewatch of the entire MCU in chronological order and I’ve enjoyed all the shows a second time around. Not being a bias fan. I see good stuff in all of them.

This just looks like a complete mess. I hope I’m wrong. But given I think the first season was massively overrated, I’m not optimistic.
