Next month, Shuri will make her debut in the Marvel Rising franchise with the release of Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri. The 22-minute animated special is set to debut on October 11, but fans attending the Women of Marvel panel at New York Comic-Con on October 6 will be the first to catch the world premiere of it.

Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri will introduce the fan-favorite character, voiced by Daisy Lightfoot (Marvel Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest), to the Secret Warriors, a group of diverse teenage superheroes who have banded together to defend the world from powerful threats. The special will follow the younger sister of Black Panther as she attempts to hang out with the Secret Warriors as a normal teen.

The synopsis teases:

The lives of the Secret Warriors are turned upside down when faced with their latest mission: hang out with Shuri, the Crown Princess of Wakanda, and show her what it’s like to be an ordinary teenager. But nothing’s ordinary when you’re dealing with one of the smartest and most famous people on the planet.

Ahead of its big premiere, Marvel has also released a poster for Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri.

Marvel Rising

Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri is the fourth animated special. Last month saw the premiere of Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands, which featured on Ghost-Spider/Gwen Stacy as she struggled in balancing her personal life and superhero life.

The Women of Marvel panel is scheduled for Sunday, October 6 at 12:15 p.m. ET in room 1A06. Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri will premiere on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel less than a week later on Friday, October 11.

Off topic, but damn... I want a live action DragonBall movie. Or live action series with a huge Hollywood film budget.

@JohnnyStorm - My dream movie franchise right now is the Metal Gear series...but perhaps some things are better left untouched.
