According to Variety, Julian McMahon (Fantastic Four, Nip/Tuck, Flammable Children) has joined the cast of Marvel's Runaways. Though details on his role are being kept under wraps, we do know that his character is named Jonah and that he'll be "a pivotal player in the main characters’ rebellion against their parents."

“We’re incredibly excited to add Julian to our exceptional cast and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the world of Marvel’s Runaways,” said executive producers and showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

McMahon will be best known for playing Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom in the oft-derided 2005 Fantastic Four movie and its sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer. He also had a main role on FX's Nip/Tuck, and more recently appeared in Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

Any Runaways fans out there think he might actually be playing an established character from the comics? Sound off below.

This show is so far very low-key. Nice casting still.

His Doom wasn't the best interpretation of the character, but it somehow still is one of the best parts of those 2 movies.

... Who do we think he is playing? Surely, Jonah isn't his character's real name.

All I've seen him in were those Fantastic Four movies, and I didn't like him. Then again, I felt like it was less that he was a bad actor and more that he just seemed to be phoning it in, so maybe he's good in other things and I just haven't seen them. Any recommendations?
