It looks like the forthcoming third season of Marvel's Runaways may be going down a more mystical route, as Elizabeth Hurley joins the cast as the Marvel Comics villain Morgan le Fay. More past the jump.
Marvel's Runaways was officially renewed for a third run a few months ago, and now a new report reveals that the upcoming season will see a new cast member join the fray.
According to TV Line, Elizabeth Hurley (The Royals) has joined the Hulu show as the Marvel Comics sorceress Morgan le Fay. Details on her role in the series are currently being kept under wraps, but in the comics she often occupies the role of a villain and has huge ties to Doctor Doom, Spider-Woman, and King Arthur.
Along with this announcement, Marvel Television's Jeph Loeb released a statement on Hurley's casting: "Elizabeth Hurley is joining the Marvel Universe, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her portraying one of the most enchanting Marvel characters."
Runaways, which comes from showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, already boasts a cast that includes Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta
