We were promised some major reveals during Disney's Investors Day, and that turned out to be an understatement!

Marvel Studios has officially announced a new batch of shows for the Disney+ streaming service, and there are quite a few that took us completely by surprise.

Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will reprise their Captain Marvel roles for a Secret Invasion series; Ironheart was confirmed with If Beale Street Could Talk actress Dominique Thorne on board as Riri Williams; and Armor Wars will see Don Cheadle return as War Machine.

In addition, a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special from James Gunn is coming in 2022, and there's a series of Groot-centric shorts in development. Plus, we have confirmation that Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner) and Tim Roth (Abomination) will be a part of the She-Hulk series, with Tatiana Maslany now officially signed on as Jennifer Walters.

Find out more details below, and be sure to share your thoughts on these potentially game-changing announcements in the usual place.

Would have thought Secret Invasions would be reserved for the big screen, but I have confidence Marvel can pull this off. Fingers crossed of course.

SUPER excited for Secret Invasion crossover.

The rest of these....eh. Don't really care. Especially the Iron Man spin offs. They need to give Iron Man a rest.

@MrDandy - I forgot about Hawkeye, so much news and shows. I'd put Hawkeye between Moon Knight and She Hulk on my list.

Surprised to see Secret Invasion happening on D+ and not the big screen, but other than that, great news!

My main question is - Did they say whether these are all just mini-series or will some be ongoing?

A bit surprised about the Ironheart show, but if MIT can pull off their take for recruiting purposes a few years back, and very nicely done I might add, then I'm sure Marvel can and will do it justice.

The biggest disappointment is Peyton Reed coming back for Ant man 3.
And man 2 was one of the worst mcu films.

Also weird that they recast Cassie lang, i feel bad for the original actress.

Other than that a lot of great news all around.

And yeah not recasting was the wrong move but it's very understandable as disney had an impossible choice and would have received backlash either way.

Secret invasion gon have to pack a punch and quite a few surprises. I haven't disliked anything that I've heard so far. I'm quite surprised they confirmed Kang. Marvel likes to act like people haven't figured things out

So happy for Don Cheadle getting his own series. I know some people may see it as unnecessary, but this is something I have no qualms over. I really want to see him shine in his own spotlight.

Same feelings with Tim Roth getting another shot at Abomination. Holy shit yes
