While we'll probably have to wait a few more weeks before we get a plot synopsis, FOX has shared ten ultra-hi resolution stills from the upcoming season two premiere, which is titled "eMergence."

The photos aren't particularly revealing, but they do spotlight each member of the principal cast and essentially confirm that the season will indeed pick up several months after the events of the first season finale as Polaris (Emma Dumont) is now several months into her pregnancy. The final shot also may suggest that the premiere will feature an impromptu delivery at some stage or another, but it's still too early to tell.

@TheManWithoutFear - Eclipse is a new original character. Since the story in the Gifted hasn't any basis in any previous comic story arcs, the show runners wanted to introduce a few original characters peppered in with the known Marvel comics characters. Kinda like how most Xmen writers try to add a new X member to the team when they take over writing duties. Eclipse has the power to manipulate photons and struggles to control his power when his temper flares. The show creators wanted to mirror the themes between Magneto and Rogue's relationship in the comics with Polaris and Eclipse. He also has a checkered past as former torturer for the mob, and the creators say he is also linked to a famous Xmen member in a mysterious way they will explore as the show goes on.

Aside from that, the actor that plays him is top notch and very likeable. He's a great addition to the show.

@WAKANDABATMANFOREVER - that Aurora borealis effect when their powers merge was just the coolest and smartest thing! I was sold on this show in that moment, you can tell the writers are trying to think up fresh new ideas and innovative concepts for this show. And the two actors have crazy good chemistry.
