Next Tuesday, when the Mutant Underground catches wind of the Inner Circle's latest mission, it's all hands on deck as Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung), Lauren Strucker (Natalie Alyn Lind), and Eclipse (Sean Teale) spring into action to stop them, but the foursome runs into an unexpected complication when they run into old friends Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Andy (Percy Hynes White).

While the Strucker children prepare for a showdown, Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Caitlin (Amy Acker) will continue to deal with the fallout from Reed's shocking revelation. However, their search for a solution may not be as fruitful as they may have hoped.

THE INNER CIRCLE IS ON THE MOVE ON AN ALL-NEW "THE GIFTED" TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16, ON FOX

The Struckers, minus Andy, begin to rebuild their broken trust, while Thunderbird, Blink and Eclipse visit Wire, hoping to convince him to help again. But when they get there, they learn that something terrible has happened from Wire's brother, Graph (guest star Adam David Thompson). The team discovers that the Inner Circle is on the way to raid a mutant detention facility, so they make moves to try to intercept them. Meanwhile, Jace is contacted by a member of the Purifiers in the all-new "outMatched" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Oct. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Really enjoying season 2 thus far. Last episode was heartbreaking.

We have the Inner Circle, now we have the Morlocks, next brother vs. sister, but if we actually get Marcos vs. Lorna...i don't think i can take that, last episode was quite emotional. :(

I do like Season 2 so far and it's a step in the right direction. They seem to be moving the story along quite well. The last episode was very sad.

My only complaint is it seems like the CGI is worse than last years. I don't know if it's that they are using more effects with the same budget which makes them have to pinch their pennies or in fact their budget went down. If the budget went down then it makes me worry for the rest of the season and if it'll get picked up for season 3.

@rabid - yeah too bad it will interfere with MCU once the xmen come. They will cancel it. Hopefully they will get at least season 3

@four20smoke - I don't think this or the Fox universe will get canceled. The latest comments from Bob Iger make it sound like Disney wants to keep Fox's film and tv universe alive.

@rabid - what film universe? Xmen is all they have have which is ending with Phoenix and new mutants. DP is trying to break into the MCU. They cant have this xmen show going on when the xmen fold into the mcu

@four20smoke - They'll keep it going for a while before they reboot because it's a moneymaking franchise and they need to recoup that giant check they just cut. Plus Iger said they are looking to New Fox for original content on Disney's new streaming app that will rival Netflix, so some of the X films might end up there. But I have my doubts about them rebooting. I think they'll be using the core plot from New Avengers volume 3 to fold the existing X-Men movies in as an alternate universe. That entire crossover event was created with the purpose of blending Marvel comics two realities into one universe, but I've always thought it was their blueprint for bringing the X-Men into the MCU. If Avengers 4 ends with Thanos getting locked in a cell, then I'll be even more certain of it.
But one things for sure. Disney is keeping Fox alive to make more movies and shows.

My favorite show on tv. I knew with the way Jace acted, that he would become Purifier trash. Man, I hate those groups! The Purifiers, Friends of Humanity, The Right, the Sapien League all that crap. And it just makes me love X-Men stuff more. Looking forward to the rest of this season and all the new characters that are gonna pop up!
