VisionQuest Trailer: Ultron Wants Out And Vision Must Save His Son In Marvel TV Series Like No Other

Marvel Studios has released the first trialer and poster for WandaVision and Agatha All Along follow-up, VisionQuest, and The Vision is forced to navigate being a son and father in this wild sneak peek.

Marvel Television's VisionQuest, an all-new original series coming exclusively to Disney+ on October 14, will conclude the epic trilogy that began with 2021's groundbreaking, award-winning WandaVision and 2024's acclaimed Agatha All Along

The Vision himself, Paul Bettany, and Ultron, James Spader, joined executive producer and president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige on the stage of the Honda Center in Anaheim at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event tonight, where they revealed a first look at the trailer and poster for the upcoming series, both of which have been released online.

The sneak peek is unlike anything we've seen from Marvel Studios before, though the same could be said for the first two chapters in this streaming trilogy. With Vision attempting to make a life for himself in both the real and virtual worlds, the former Avenger finds himself surrounded in the latter by familiar MCU AIs and an antagonistic Ultron.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron villain takes great delight in revealing that Vision has a son, Tommy Maximoff, and it seems like he's understandably eager to escape the virtual prison the hero has trapped him in. Pay close attention, and you'll even spot Vision's new look.

In the series, Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponise him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron.

His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision's son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.

VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire and James D'Arcy.

The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, Terry Matalas, and written by Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura.

VisionQuest is created for television by Terry Matalas, based on the Marvel Comics. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Terry Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne, and the producer is Roopesh Parekh.

The show premieres on Disney+ on October 14. Check out the VisionQuest trailer, poster, and first-look stills below.

Looks great. Super excited for this one. Both WandaVision and Agatha were great. Fingers crossed they can close it out on a high note.

Definitely outside the box. Wandavision is still my favorite live action Disney show so my expectations are somewhat high

@bobevanz - Wanda is in fact the best Marvel Disney show

The best written character in the MCU, bar none.

Really hoping they deliver anothe banger like WandaVision (Agatha was good too, but less so), and it looks like they will.

Fingers crossed for the soundtrack too, after the guy's work on Penguin.

There were some obvious missteps, but Marvel is cutting back on the TV shows right when they are finally nailing it.

Looks like Ultron will be stealing the show.
I do like that they’re referring to this as a trilogy, the Wanda and vision trilogy

Nice.

Another show where the characters are just the actors to save budget.

And mazel tov? Ultron, a genocidal maniac, is a jew then?

Lol

@Sominan -

If he’s a genocidal maniac, that would make him a muslim.
Sominan
Sominan - 8/15/2026, 6:03 AM
@DocSpock - no, that's jews carrying out a genocide ATM.

Besides, Ultron said "MAZEL TOV," not "Allahu Akbar," so as is typical for you zionists, you are wrong as usual and projecting your behavior onto someone else.

@Sominan -

Why do you call me a Zionist you brainless toad? Just because I don't like the horrors the death cult of islam has laid on the world for the last 1500 years?

Sominan
Sominan - 8/15/2026, 10:03 AM
@DocSpock - because you're Israel's top goy on this site, repeating their justifications for occupying, stealing land, and murdering the people on it.

If muslims are so bad, why not just let them be inside of their own nations? Why genocide them and give their land to the jews for zionism?

This looks great. Vision has his own Minecraft esque world within his subconscious which would allow it to be both bonkers and technological. I like that Ultron is just a manifestation in his subconscious but he can also be a virus that's been harboring within Vision all these years as well. There are plenty of avenues this show can go.

I do like that this trilogy introduced Wiccan and soon to be Speed.

October can't come fast enough. Really digging the set pieces in the real and virtual worlds that Vision is trying to balance.

Stuff like this is why Feige and Disney can't just cut away from developing. TV shows are fun, keep making them like this c'mon.

@NinnesMBC - yeah not everything works as a movie. If it has a concept that can't be mass marketed or takes too much time or doesn't need budget then tv can be great. If it works not just for the sake of the wall of content.

That looks quite good & unique!!.

Also I was not expecting Tommy to be Scottish tbh since it seems like they have allowed Ruaridh to use his natural accent…

Oh and it’s so great to have James Spader back as Ultron since his version of the character imo is an underrated villain.

Anyway , looking forward to this and that poster is great imo!!.

To be honest it looks better than I expected. That said I still wonder how much new footage of the actual Vision we will get to see.

WandaVision is clearly the best thing D- has to offer that they created, bar maybe the new Daredevil shows. I’m hoping this is a show worthy of ending the trilogy, after the disaster that is Agatha.
