WANDAVISION Gag Reel Features Sitcom Mishaps And Paul Bettany's Vision Minus The VFX

WandaVision was recently released on 4K Ultra HD SteelBook and, among the special features included in the set is a Gag Reel. Marvel Studios has now released a clip from that, and it's packed full of on-set hilarity.

Seeing Paul Bettany as The Vision pre-VFX remains peculiar and she's shown here as both versions of the character (the Hex Vision created by the Scarlet Witch and S.W.O.R.D.'s rebuilt White Vision). However, both he and Elizabeth Olsen clearly had a blast shooting those sitcom scenes.

We also get to see Olsen and "Quicksilver" actor Evan Peters cracking up during the latter's introduction.

WandaVision was never meant to be Marvel Studios' first TV series but, thanks to the pandemic, it arrived before The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The series, a celebration of television history, proved to be a fitting start to the MCU's move to streaming, though the shows which have followed were a tad more hit-and-miss (for every Loki, there's been a Secret Invasion).

Recently, WandaVision director Matt Shakman was asked if he believes the series could ever return for a second season.

"I don't think so, you know, we were telling a very specific story, a complete story; a story about grief, about Wanda's journey, having lost Vision, and we completed that story. And Jac Schaeffer is an amazing writer who wrote 'WandaVision', [and she] has created a show called 'Agatha.'"

"['Agatha' is] not a 'WandaVision' Season 2, but it's definitely existing in that universe, of course, and with some of the characters that you met on that show, Agatha, in particular. So, you know, there are elements of 'WandaVision' that are out there still in their own way. But, a proper WandaVision Season 2, with more sitcom styles, and all of that is definitely not in the cards."

Check out the show's gag reel in the player below.

WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, and was the first series from Marvel Studios to stream exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
