During Netflix's TUDUM event, a number of awesome new trailers and first looks were released, including the first teaser for The Mother, which sees Jennifer Lopez step into the shoes of an assassin!

Jennifer Lopez (Marry Me; Shotgun Wedding) is getting in the assassin game, and Netflix has shared the first official teaser trailer for her upcoming action-thriller The Mother, where she stars as a contract killer who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up years ago, while on the run from dangerous men.

Not much else is known just yet, but the brief preview features Lopez gearing up for what should be an exciting adventure, showcasing her insane physique and taking aim at some deadly foes. 

In addition to Lopez, the film stars Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid's TaleAmerican Horror Story: Asylum), Omari Hardwick (Army of the DeadPower), Gael García Bernal (Werewolf By Night; Old), Paul Raci (Sound of MetalPerry Mason), Lucy Paez (SilencioBarb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar), Jesse Garcia (AmbulanceSons of Anarchy), and Yvonne Senat Jones (Sneakerella; The Orville). 

Niki Caro (MulanThe Zookeeper's Wife) helmed the feature, with a screenplay from Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig. 

There isn't an official release date just yet, but it's expected to debut in May 2023.
