RED NOTICE 2 And 3 Officially In Development For Netflix; Expected To Shoot Back-To-Back

This probably won't come as a surprise after the success of the first movie, but two Red Notice sequels are now officially in the works at Netflix with the original cast and director expected to return.

The ending of Red Notice teased threatened a sequel, and for our sins, we're getting two!

After officially becoming the biggest Netflix movie of all time, Deadline reports that the streamer is in the process of developing a pair of follow-ups, which are expected to shoot back-to-back next year. Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot are all set to reprise their respective roles, while Rawson Marshall Thurber will also return to direct.

Although the focus will remain on our trio of con-artists, the plan is to "add new characters to flesh out a heist film ensemble reminiscent of the starry Oceans Eleven franchise."

Red Notice didn't fare too well with critics (you can read our 1-star review here), but that lowly 37% Rotten Tomatoes score didn't seem to deter viewers, and Netflix recently touted the film as their most-watched feature of all time.

The crime-caper had clocked up 328.8 million viewing hours less than a month after its release, surpassing the previous record held by Bird Box (282 million viewing hours). The figures also showed that 50% of all subscribers worldwide watched the movie, which still remains in Netflix's top 10 films list in 94 countries.

What did you guys make of Red Notice? Are you looking forward to the sequels? Drop us a comment down below.

Apparently there's rumours going on about Tom Cruise playing Iron Man in Multiverse of Madness. I can't find any source. I was hoping you guys would know something about it..

@Waddles - Fair point, but Cap wasn't lost in his own film in Civil War. Thanos wasn't lost in Infinity War. Holland's Peter wasn't lost in No Way Home. I trust in Marvel Studios.

@KanchaCheena - that’s been a rumor for a while that was one of the first things I heard about this movie. Is that Tom would make an appearance as a variant Tony Stark.

3 of the most boring/annoying stars in Hollywood in what is destined to be 3 of the most boring/annoying franchise films in Hollywood history. It's fitting, at least

@Cap1 - Ryan Reynolds is boring??
Cap1
Cap1 - 1/12/2022, 2:36 PM
@slickrickdesigns - been playing ever so slightly different versions of Deadpool since..well, Deadpool, so yeah, he’s boring

@Cap1 - if you want to smack talk Reynolds then you should’ve said he’s been playing Deadpool ever sense Van Wilder, Waiting or any other Reynolds movie. But his sarcastic funny style is entertaining to watch.
Cap1

@slickrickdesigns - Nah, he didn't in Mississippi Grind or Buried where he actually pushed his range, or even Safe House. Now he's just settled into this boring, repetitive role

slickrickdesigns - 1/13/2022, 9:01 AM
@Cap1 - again agree to disagree… but safe house is the same guy as all the others. You want to point out his range outside of his normal style would be Amityville horror.

The movie was watchable, had a few funny moments so I’m not mad. It was just awkward as hell to see the rock kiss Gal. If Dwayne doesn’t get another love interest ever I think I’ll be a happy man
