Had COVID-19 not halted production, chances are we would have had a first look at The Witcher by now ahead of its December premiere on Netflix. Instead, shooting is still taking place in England, and we now have some new set photos courtesy of Mail Online.
Taken at High and Low Force Waterfall in County Durham, we see Yennefer actress Anya Chalotra sporting a new look (she's in much better shape here than in those first look stills). Joining her is Freya Allan as Ciri, confirming that the two women will cross paths during season two.
It's believed that when The Witcher returns, Yennefer will be M.I.A. and Ciri will be training with Henry Cavill's Geralt in Kaer Morhen, so chances are these spoiler-y images are from late in the season.
"Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen," the synopsis reveals. "While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside."
