The Witcher returns for more monster-hunting adventures this December, and following yesterday's poster featuring Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Netflix has shared a new look at the show's female lead.
Played by Anya Chalotra, powerful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg was believed to have been killed during the Battle of Sodden in the season 1 finale, but we know from the trailer that she actually survived, and is sure to play a key role in the events to come.
Fans of the source novels and video games will know that Yen develops a close bond with Ciri (Freya Allen), becoming a surrogate parent of sorts to the young warrior along with Geralt. It remains to be seen if the series follows suit, but we can't imagine them straying too far off course when it comes to the story's central relationships.
Check out the poster below, and let us know if you're looking forward to The Witcher season 2 in the comments.

New recruits include Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Born as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Mecia Simson as Francesca, and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.
