AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Actor Matthew Law Has Reportedly Landed A Key Role In STAR WARS: AHSOKA

According to a new rumour, the Ahsoka TV series coming to Disney+ has reportedly tapped Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Matthew Law for a "big" role in the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels follow-up...

A few days ago, we learned that Ahsoka has started shooting and Star Wars fans continue to wait with bated breath for news on who will play Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn. There are rumours about both fan-favourite characters to be found online, but nothing definitive, and we don't think this latest reported addition to the show's cast will be either one of them, unfortunately.

In a rumour shared by StarWarsNews.net (via SFFGazette.com), it's said Matthew Law has landed a "big" role in the Star Wars Rebels follow-up. Despite being a relative unknown, the actor will perhaps be most recognisable to you for a four-episode stint in Marvel Television's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

As a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Law played a small but memorable role in the show's sixth season.

Ahsoka has so far assembled a great cast alongside Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano, including Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, and Ray Stevenson (who may play Gilad Pellaeon, Thrawn's ally). Mena Massoud is still a fan-favourite pick for Ezra, but Lars Mikkelsen reportedly won't return as Thrawn.

The expectation is that the show will pick up where we left off with the title character in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, finally finishing the story Dave Filoni started in Star Wars Rebels. With any luck, more details are going to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration this month.

Ahsoka is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

"it's said Matthew Law has landed a "big" role in the Star Wars Rebels follow-up"

He could be Ezra.

First Jason Isaacs doesn’t return to play the Grand Inquisitor, and now Lars Mikkelson won’t return as Thrawn? Why? I mean both of these actors owned their role and their voices are so iconic for the roles. Urgh this really irritates me a lot. The casting has already been done! Disney what are you doing?

@globaltravels - You ever think that maybe the actor's just couldn't fit it into their busy schedules to be involved? A lot of these guys are busy doing stage work if not actually filming something. Could be as simple as that or maybe they just weren't interested in reprising the roles. Doesn't have to be Disney's fault.
