AHSOKA: Rebels Will Rise In An Action-Packed New Teaser For The STAR WARS REBELS Follow-Up

A new extended TV spot for Ahsoka has found its way online (via SFFGazette.com), and Baylan Skoll is put front and centre. The former Jedi, played by the late Ray Stevenson, comes across like the show's big bad here, though we've heard that he and the rest of its antagonists all report to Grand Admiral Thrawn.

We can't help but notice the similarities between Skoll and the Expanded Universe's Joruus C'baoth, and we wouldn't be at all surprised if that's either who he really is or if the character borrows a lot from that Heir to the Empire baddie.

Elsewhere in the teaser, there's plenty of awesome lightsaber action. Sabine Wren is shown wielding Ezra Bridger's blade in a battle with Shin Hati, while Ahsoka Tano has her hands full with that mysterious Sith Inquisitor. Could a brainwashed Ezra be beneath the helmet? Many fans believe it's highly likely.

Check out this new TV spot for Ahsoka in the players below.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.

What? No "woke trash" comments by you incel neckbeards? Too many women, no? No Star Whores jokes?

I am going to try to get into Star Wars. Like Dr. Who, I don't know where to begin, but there's so much of it and I'd have no fear of it ever ending/being canceled.

Would have rather had an animated continuation

Just seems weird to start a story in one medium and finish it in another and this led to every character being recast

Hopefully its better than obi wan and book of fett
