No matter how you feel about Rotten Tomatoes, it's now more important than ever when it comes to whether moviegoers decide to check out the latest releases in theaters, and it's not uncommon for studios to tout scores as proudly as they do star ratings.

However, in recent years, we've seen the same apply to TV shows. With the rise of streaming leaving people with more options than ever before (too many, some might argue), we're not exactly shocked to see those all-important percentages at the forefront of marketing for small screen offerings as well.

Since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ended the sequel trilogy on something of a bum note back in 2019, we've seen Lucasfilm shift focus to telling stories on Disney+. That's massively expanded the franchise and while there's not a "Rotten" title to be found, they all stack up very differently.

To see how they compare and which TV show comes out on top, hit the "Next" button below or click here to read the entire list on one page!

10. The Book Of Boba Fett

bobf-chapter1-thumb-51e2cf55

Score: 66%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: The Book of Boba Fett could never match the adventures that existed in fans' imaginations for decades, but it earns its commission with spectacular set pieces and Temuera Morrison's commanding presence.

Boba Fett's return in The Mandalorian was welcomed by fans, as was a post-credits scene at the end of season 2 revealing that the bounty hunter had decided to take over Tatooine. Unfortunately, his solo series was a mess, with the time he spent alongside the Tusken Raiders proving to be thoroughly underwhelming.

The scenes set in the present day were a little better, but The Book of Boba Fett was at its best when it basically became The Mandalorian season 2.5. The iconic bounty hunter deserved better, and while it had its moments, the show wasn't what fans wanted.

9. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Score: 82%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: This won't be the Obi-Wan Kenobi some viewers are looking for, but Ewan McGregor's soulful performance and some refreshing twists make this a satisfying -- if circuitous -- addition to the Star Wars saga.

Yeah, we don't get this one at all. Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Star Wars fan's dream come true, with heaps of epic moments and one of the franchise's greatest lightsaber duels of all time.

Admittedly, there were some low points, and the production values occasionally fell short due to an overreliance on The Volume. This series still worked as an "inbetweenquel," however, and Hayden Christensen's phenomenal return as Darth Vader alone should mean this show places much higher on this list.

8. Ahsoka

SWA-Character-Series-Digital-KA-Compilation-v2-Lg

Score: 88%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Elevated by Rosario Dawson's strong performance in the title role and a solid story that balances new and old elements of the Star Wars saga, Ahsoka is a must-watch for fans of the franchise.

Ahsoka hasn't ended yet, though we don't anticipate the score above fluctuating too much unless the final is a complete disaster (even with future stories on the horizon, it's essential Dave Filoni stick the landing). Everything we've seen thus far, however, has been superb.

Essentially Star Wars Rebels season 5, the series has been a great showcase for its characters and delivered Hayden Christensen's best performance as Anakin Skywalker. Despite not being overly accessible to fans unfamiliar with The Clone Wars and Rebels, it's still essential viewing.

7. The Bad Batch

the-bad-batch-season-2-tall-A-36322

Score: 88%  - Season 1 (86%), Season 2 (90%)

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: The Bad Batch's beautifully animated adventure may be too lore heavy for casual viewers, but fans will enjoy diving deeper into this dastardly cast of characters (Season 1).

The second bundle of The Bad Batch retains all the same virtues and vices as the first: a slick Star Wars adventure geared toward diehard fans at the expense of more casual viewers (Season 2).

Ever since George Lucas confirmed the original Star Wars trilogy's Stormtroopers weren't clones, fans have wondered how the Empire transitioned from them to recruiting soldiers for the cause. The Bad Batch has offered some insight into that even if this is a show aimed more towards hardcore fans.

Yes, it's been fun to follow the adventures of the title characters, but this has never really felt like the most essential story to tell despite featuring some memorable moments. Season 2 was more of the same in some ways, though that proved to be far from a bad thing.

6. The Mandalorian

header-mando-s3-poster-copy

Score: 90% - Season 1 (93%), Season 2 (93%), Season 3 (85%)

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Action-packed and expertly-crafted -- if at times a bit too withholding -- The Mandalorian is a welcome addition to the Star Wars universe that benefits greatly from the cuteness of its cargo (Season 1).

With fan favorites and fresh faces galore both in front of and behind the camera,The Mandalorian's sophomore season solidifies its place as one of Star Wars's most engaging and exciting sagas (Season 2).

Mileage may vary by a couple parsecs as The Mandalorian becomes more and more about the connective tissue of broader Star Wars lore, but this remains one of the most engaging adventures in a galaxy far, far away (Season 3).

Arguably among the greatest Star Wars stories ever told, The Mandalorian is far from over, and those first two seasons are hard to find fault with. The show has proven to be the perfect way to expand this franchise in a fan-pleasing manner, even if season 3 struggled to live up to the first two batches of episodes.

That perhaps took too much of the spotlight away from Din Djarin, but with his and Grogu's beautiful father/son relationship still very much the heart of this series, we can't wait to see where it takes us next, especially after the ending teed up a return to the weekly adventures which worked so well at the start.

5. Star Wars Resistance

maxresdefault

Score: 92%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Star Wars: Resistance's streamlined story sets the stage for exciting adventures -- and seems poised to explore a canvas stocked with immediately relatable characters and plenty of potential.

Star Wars Resistance doesn't have that many reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, an indication perhaps that there was always a lack of interest in the animated series. Fans never got too into either, in fairness, likely because it was basically a wholly unnecessary prequel to The Force Awakens

An uninspired animation style didn't help matters, and while the voice cast was solid - as were many of the characters we spent time with - we think this score would have been quite a bit lower had more critics decided to share their thoughts, particularly based on how most viewers responded.

4. The Clone Wars

the-clone-wars-returns-final-season-tall-A

Score: 93%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Thanks to its beautifully animated action-sequences and its impressively layered storytelling, The Clone Wars' final chapter affirms its place as one of Star Wars' greatest entries.

Arguably one of the greatest animated TV shows of all time, The Clone Wars expanded this Galaxy Far, Far Away in ways that had, and continue to have, far-reaching consequences. Dave Filoni deepened the lore in an unimaginable manner, with Ahsoka Tano's introduction arguably the biggest thing to come out of this one.

Whether you've never seen the series or have simply been meaning to revisit it, we'd strongly recommend you do so as soon as possible, especially after Ahsoka's live-action flashbacks reminded us all how much fun this period in Star Wars history was.

3. Andor

andor-button-1659389252812

Score: 96%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: A gritty adventure told from the ground perspective of the Empire's reign, Andor is an exceptionally mature and political entry into the Star Wars mythos -- and one of the best yet.

Hailed by some fans as the greatest Star Wars story ever told, we wouldn't quite go that far, but it's fair to say Andor is still a very special series. Despite a slow start, and a perhaps too-detailed look into the first year of this five-year period prior to Rogue One, there have indeed been many times when the show is positively breathtaking.

Whether it's the incredible dialogue, a new spin on this Galaxy, or a fascinating glimpse into the Rebellion's formation, we can forgive its negative points and confidently say it deserves to sit here.

2. Star Wars: Visions [TIE]

star-wars-visions-the-elder-copy

Score: 98% - Season 1 (96%), Season 2 (100%)

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Gorgeously animated and wildly creative, Visions is an eclectic, but wholly enjoyable collection of Star Wars stories that breathe new life into the galaxy.

Unlike any other series listed here, Star Wars: Visions is wholly unique. The animated shorts were created exclusively by Japanese studios, and this is Star Wars on a whole different level.

If you're not an anime fan, your mileage may vary. The stories, which aren't considered canon (though there are conflicting thoughts on that), are all vastly different from one another and worth checking out. We know many of you have grown tired of this Disney era of Star Wars, so this is a great place to find something new, something season 2 delivered in spades.

2. Star Wars Rebels [TIE]

913-TOY-Re-NL

Score: 98%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Rebels adds new dimension to an unexplored sector of the Star Wars timeline, inserting a ragtag group of lovable characters into a galactic adventure that all ages can enjoy.

We both are and aren't surprised to see Star Wars Rebels here, especially as that first season...well, it definitely got better as it went along. Another Dave Filoni story, we would ultimately fall in love with the crew of the Ghost, all while getting new insights into the Rebellion and Empire.

Throw in Ahsoka Tano's long-awaited return for a duel with Darth Vader and a cliffhanger that left us all on the edges of our seats, and this was a superb sequel to The Clone Wars. We even got to see how Maul's story ended, a moment which proved to be a fantastic bonus.

1. Tales Of The Jedi

talesofthejedi-blogroll-1666822763137

Score: 100%

Rotten or Fresh? Fresh

Critics Consensus: Under the reliable stewardship of Dave Filoni, Tales of the Jedi is an absorbing expansion of Star Wars lore that will delight Padawan-level fans and encyclopedic Force scholars alike.

The only Star Wars TV series with a perfect score, Tales of the Jedi was definitely something special (even if it was a little too brief for our liking at just six episodes).

Fleshing out this Galaxy in meaningful ways, we got to revisit key moments in history, including Ahsoka Tano's childhood and Padme Amidala's funeral from her point of view. We also witnessed Count Dooku's fall to the Dark Side, with Yaddle's tragic final fate revealed in the process. We need more like this from Dave Filoni as soon as possible because this was essential viewing.

If you use RT as a rating metric, well that's just silly... remember paying for reviews?

they can literally give it a 60, but mark it positive and it counts as fresh. Now take that into account for the new Saw movie lmao

@bobevanz - not sure if people know how rotten tomatoes works but essentially the percentage is just how many critics suggest seeing the movie/show. If it gets 60% it’s saying 60% of critics are saying you should watch it. It’s not saying that it has 6 out of 10 score. Just to clarify the metrics of rt.

Resistance ranking so high highlights the limitations of RT, especially for television. I truly don't think many critics would rate it as a better show than The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, or Ahsoka, but judged within the context of the lower expectations it sets as a less ambitious series, I can understand why it's viewed favorably.

As Josh points out, the lack of reviews also probably works in its favor.

Rotten 🍅 is filled with fake ratings because they delete or don't count any negative reviews or ratings.
Most critics are bought and paid for.

Using rotten 🍅 to see if a movie is good or not is pretty pointless at this point.
