STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Footage Reveals A First look At Jude Law's Character In Action

During this year's Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The Disney+ series looks set to focus on a group of kids lost in the Galaxy who are looking for a way home, while Jude Law (Captain Marvel) is set to lead the show as one of its only confirmed cast members.

Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Christopher Ford (Chaos Walking) are developing the project which is set during the same period as The Mandalorian, and a new look at Law's mysterious character has found its way online.

Included in a Disney+ 2023 preview, it shows the actor wearing a hood and seemingly on the run. It's thought he'll join those kids on their journey, with recent rumours pointing to him being in charge of the group as a teacher of some sort.

In fact, Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) has shared a story today revealing that Law's character and his crew will, at some point, be "guests" at an "opulent hotel." The people there are described as "Canto Bight rich," while the location is said to be among the biggest created for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

"This sequence is big," the site reveals. "Loads of costumes were made for the rich guests and servants of this set and location. So I imagine the production expense is justified by it being important to the overall narrative."

We're definitely intrigued by this one, and expect it to be more than just a fun diversion from the other stories being told on Disney+. In fact, there are rumblings that it will even tie into shows like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, so it's likely a key part of whatever Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have planned for this corner of the Galaxy as they continue to expand on this era.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

@bretticus21 - I counter with House of the Dragon be House of the Draggin'
I found it hard to connect to the series, with the time jumps and the character changes, and it was just a boring storyline. That's just me, tho.
Rings of Power...it was ok. Better than CW show standards, better than Wheel of Time, unfortunately

I don't know why I expected Jude Law to look any different. No change in hair style or alien features or even contacts..... just regular Jude Law.

@TheVandalore - Maybe his agent puts it in his contract that he doesn't have to sit in make-up for hours and/or wear anything uncomfortable. I would hate it.

@TheVandalore - Since The Talented Mr. Ripley. Most of his career has been like that.

@LSHF - I’d think it can be terribly claustrophobic.

@thewanderer - Actors complain about it all the time, and some have even gotten therapy to help deal with the hours of make up and the body suits. And, yes, many have complained of claustrophobia.

I've heard rumors he may be playing an adult Lux Bonteri, which would be cool and a way to link it to the upcoming Ahsoka show

Ahh, yes. Ye Olde Cloak over the head disguise. Fools them every time, especially when they do it in sweltering weather with a heavy woolen cloak.
