AVENGERS 4 Directors Reunite With Some Familiar Faces On The Set Of STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN

No, still no sign of the Avengers 4 trailer - but we do have a cool image of the film's directors hanging out with several familiar faces on the set of The Mandalorian!

Okay, so it's not much of a consolation prize, but this behind-the-scenes photo of Joe and Anthony Russo (Infinity War), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Peyton Reed (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Jon Favreau (Iron Man) is still quite interesting.

We know Favreau is writing and producing the show, and Waititi is on board to helm at least one of the episodes, but why are the others there? The most likely explanation is that they're simply visiting as fans to see how production is going, but the Russos have expressed great interest in the galaxy far, far away in the past so perhaps they are involved in the show in some capacity.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

In addition to Waititi, Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) will helm installments.

There's no release date for The Mandalorian just yet, but it is expected to premiere on Disney+ at some point next year.

Must be nice to work somewhere where you can check out what the other departments are doing?

" but why are the others there"
...more than likely all of these guys will get their chance at either movie or streaming versions of Star Wars franchises... Disney has a lot of content to generate and why not use inside guys with a proven track record instead of people that make Luke drink from a tit?

I'm about 90% sure The Russo Brothers are going to be involved with Star Wars soon. The potential there is too great to pass up
