The Mandalorian's season 3 premiere saw Din Djarin make it clear to The Armorer that he intended to regain his status as a Mandalorian by returning to Mandalore, and we're sure that isn't the last we've seen of the clan leader. Played by Emily Swallow, the character has become a hit with fans and is someone we're all keen to learn more about.
This next batch of episodes might offer some answers, but an awesome new character poster (via SFFGazette.com) puts the spotlight squarely on the enigmatic warrior.
She's joined by a second one-sheet focusing on the Anzellan Droidsmiths we met in "The Apostate." Until now, a popular theory online has been that the Anzellan who Grogu attempted to make off with might be a younger Babu Frik from The Rise of Skywalker.
That would have been a fantastic bit of connectivity, but the fact Lucasfilm's official social accounts are referring to them simply as "Anzellan Droidsmiths" pretty much debunks the notion. After all, if this was the surprisingly popular Babu Frik, why not highlight that here with a hashtag?
It's a shame as the physical similarities are undeniably striking, but the Star Wars timeline is complicated enough as it is and The Mandalorian's creative team - spearheaded by Jon Favreau - may be looking to avoid tying too much into both the original and sequel trilogies.
