Hot off all the praise they're getting for the magnificent
Avengers: Infinity War, The Russo Bros. have revealed the first look at
Deadly Class which will begin airing on SYFY in 2019.
The trailer shows off a number of beautiful scenes from the pilot episode which stars Benjamin Wadsworth as Marcus Lopez, a disillusioned teen drafted into a high school for the world's deadliest assassins in the late 1980s. Interspersed with the footage is the Russos themselves discussing what led them to the project as well as series writer Rick Remender (
Uncanny X-Force, Venom, Tokyo Ghost) assuring that the television series will delight fans of the comic.
Check out the trailer below!
Deadly Class remains a runaway hit for Image Comics thanks to clever writing that blends a coming of age high school story with wild action and punk rock sensibilities. If the television series is anything like the source material, it will be equal parts beautiful and violent, poignant and irreverent, and just plain fun. And if these scenes are any indicator, we're going to be getting just that when the show
premieres next year.
Any other Deadly Class fans out there? What do you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to the series, or does it look like it's gonna bite? Let us know what you think in the usual spot!
