Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.


Snowpiercer is an adaptation of the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige and is set for release sometime this Summer.

After watching the trailer, I have no idea what the movie is about other than it's cold outside and Chris Evans wants to kill someone with an axe. After reading the description, I have no idea how it made it past the idea phase and into a graphic novel, let alone a movie.

Living in a town that is centered on trains I have to ask...how do they deal with snow on the tracks? Avalanches? I hope this is discussed in the movie.
