WARNING: Spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home and Venom: Let There Be Carnage follow!
In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's one and only post-credits scene, Eddie Brock was transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the stage was seemingly set for a clash with Peter Parker. That didn't happen, though we did catch up with the reporter at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home when he was sent back to his own world (right after saying he should go and find the wall-crawler).
The door appears to have been closed on that long-awaited face-off for now, but "scooper" Daniel Richtman (via CBR) has now claimed that the next Venom movie will "explore the Multiverse" with "Venom finally meeting and fighting Spider-Man."
Nothing happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home to suggest Peter Parker will now swing between realities, and it appears the hero is staying put in the MCU. Venom: Let There Be Carnage made a point of explaining that the symbiote has knowledge of countless realities (likely meaning he knows Spider-Man is Peter Parker), so perhaps it will be Venom who finds a way to travel between worlds?
A piece of the Venom symbiote was left behind in the MCU, so it's not outside the realm of possibility that the alien could use that to travel between worlds...with or without Eddie in tow!
The prevailing theory right now is that Sony Pictures will use Venom 3 to bring Andrew Garfield back as Spider-Man. It's certainly a possibility, but with Morbius referencing Venom, graffiti with Tobey Maguire's web-slinger, the Oscorp building from The Amazing Spider-Man, and a cameo from MCU baddie Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton), that movie might finally clear things up.
Which Spider-Man do you hope Venom crosses paths with?
