VENOM Channels The Hulk In This First Deleted Scene From The Upcoming Blu-Ray Release

Venom is set to hit home release soon, and in anticipation, Sony has shared the first deleted scene (well, snippets of it) to Twitter. Here, we see the symbiote "Hulking-Up" in response to a car alarm...

It's probably safe to say that Venom is not a big fan of alarms.

In this first deleted footage from the upcoming Blu-ray release, we see a kid look on in awe as the psychotic symbiote lays waste to some vehicles after being sent into a rage by a car alarm. If Venom's mannerisms look a tad familiar here, it's because he's very clearly channeling The Incredible Hulk!

We assume there's at least a little more to this scene, so be sure to check it out along with some other deleted/extended sequences when the movie hits digital on December 11th, and DVD and Blu-ray on the 18th.

Here's a full list of the Blu-ray special features.

I cannot understand how this movie did so well!

@Forthas - its not the B.O. I don't understand, its the avid defending. People calling critics asshats and saying that we as an audience need to "stand up" and decide for ourselves, yet celebrating the one DCEU movie that gets great reviews and the next MCU movie as well.

@Kurne - It is quite the conundrum. IMO Venom is wack and I don't give a [frick] who tries to tell me otherwise. Like you said the box office is not surprising, especially in China where they supported 5 boo boo Transformers films.

@Forthas - Tom Hardy and Sony are a big reasons imo. Put anyone else in that role, any lesser name, this thing bombs.

Look at Upgrade. Superior film in every way that capitalizes on a similar concept but it doesnt have the star power or studio power of Venom. But its a far better film and way more entertaining. My one roommate saw Venom and and Upgrade. She's a causal movie fan. She could not understamd how Upgrade wasn't more successful.

@Forthas - Cause people think Venom looks cool so they said "Lets go see it."

I suspect it was a perfect storm of factors...

1) Star power (Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams) that made the movie more credible;

2) The loose association with Marvel;

3) China;

4) Not too much genre competition during its run; and

6) The curiousity factor that orgin films seem to often enjoy.

@Zoinkberg - I think that is a big reason! That is probably why I saw it. Just out of curiosity and it was "just OK enough" that I was not out warning people not to see it.
