"We Are #Venom" On The Officially Revealed CCXP Teaser Poster For VENOM

Promo art for Venom has been floating around for days now but Sony Pictures has finally unveiled an official version of the "We Are #Venom" teaser poster which offers a first look at the alien symbiote...

We probably won't see a trailer for Venom until next year but the first promo art for the movie was shown off at a Brazillian Comic-Con over the weekend. A few different versions of that have surfaced over the past few days but now we have a nice, clean, officially released poster which you can see below. So, what exactly does this artwork tell us about what we should expect from the movie?

Well, despite speculation that Tom Hardy will be playing a version of Agent Venom, the version of the character we see here is 100% classic Venom, something which is sure to come as a relief to fans.

That tagline is also very cool and is probably a good indication that Eddie Brock will be talking in the same way as his comic book counterpart so things are looking good for the movie despite the fact we know little to nothing about it. What do you think of this Venom teaser? Share your thoughts below.

I’m cautiously optimistic, but this is looking good so far! It’ll all hinge on the story, of course, but Classic Venom in a rated R horror type movie is a great start!!

Need this to fail so they can give up the rights completely or just let Marvel handle everything.

@Kevwebsz - So this can be an insanely accurate adaptation that also works as a great slasher, but you still want it to fail?

@Origame - .....Yeah. I'd like to see Spidey get the symbiote. If this works then Sony's gonna start pulling more things away from the MCU. We finally get Spidey in the MCU without any of his awesome villains.

I like the art.

But I'm keeping any expectations below zero.

Need to see the suit and tone/style of this movie - the comments relating to it have been a little concerning.

At the moment the movie seems to be;

'Eddie Brock is Venom. He struggles with the symbiote until he discovers a group of symbiotes who plan on opening a portal to unleash more symbiotes upon the world - leading him to suit up and hunt them down one by one.'

Which is fairly generic compared to the mental torture aspect of having to fight for control of your own self and the scenario of him having to reluctantly put on the Venom symbiote to fight against a greater evil - Carnage.

@hummingbird68 - No real new stuff - just everything we've seen so far.

@hummingbird68 -

Just a bunch of what we have seen shoved together... admittedly the first scene of Thanos seemingly killing the Collector to get the Reality Stone is something only a few will have seen.

@Scarilian - I did say No real new stuff - but its interesting in hindsight now we have seen the Infinity wars trailer, that Thor is not with the Guardians in these scenes at the Collectors place.
Is he off at some huge space forge at this point making another weapon as some have theorised?
